Then it's not finishing the story, finishing the story is winning the belt at WrestleMania, anything else isn't worth doing.
The story is winning the WWE championship. Who gives a shit if it's a t wm. Honestly it would be better if he won at msg. Where they took his dad's title away

I'm currently watching Smackdown on delay after watching the cricket all day.

That was a pretty jarring alteration to production having Heyman throw to a break mid-promo. I really enjoy The Rock in these outrageous shirts with the blingy belt buckles, he looks like such an arseh*le :tearsofjoy:

I'm also enjoying him - a 51 year old man - telling us what's cool. God that's good gear :D

I tried to watch it live but once Heyman threw to the break I left as I was already late.

Watched it just before and was a good promo, far improved on his efforts 2 weeks ago that everyone loved.

I think there are so many subtly amazing things that he's doing that are going to make sense down the road.

The only bummer IMO is not doing as good a job as they could of explaining their alliance. "You insulted my family and ruined our main event" just seems like the weakest option when so much of Roman's original heel motivation stemmed from his babyface years, the pressure of carrying the company, the pressure of being champ (during the COVID years), the pressure that (according to him) only he could understand, and only he could shoulder - the crowd certainly never appreciated or understood the pressure he was under, and no one else was capable of shouldering the load that he does.

But Rock understands. He understands that pressure himself, and he understood the pressure that Roman was under when he stood alongside him after the 2015 Royal Rumble (9 year storylines FTW.) That's why he acknowledges the Tribal Chief, and it's why the pieces of crap in the audience don't deserve anything from him.

I guess to play that out fully, it's not a story that's harder to come back from - you can tell any story you want - but maybe it's a story that requires longer to flesh out before you get back to Rock and Roman, and it might not be possible given both of them are extremely part time. Certainly creates a context for them to tell a more interesting story of leading the family and the company though, as opposed to the "actually Roman, you disrespect our family" story that we'll probably end up getting.

Edit: one other thought... anyone else feel they've kind of made a blue by involving Rollins in this, rather than just having Jey Uso as Cody's back up? That makes more sense, cos Jey is already involved, they're already heading towards Jey vs Jimmy.

As it is? It probably doesn't need any of the surprise Samoans that people are suggesting to be the deciding factor of the night 1 main event - it needs Drew to be the decisive factor. Which creates a convoluted main event WM finale, which traditionally get crapped on (although maybe you can get away with it on night 1.)

Shows are so much better when the house is full. Crazy the crowds they’re getting now compared to years past. Especially at the prices they charge now.
I reckon the attendance is a great way of judging how a product or company is going creatively.

That is how you do a weekly wrestling TV show. Fantastic show with a bit of everything.

I thought was a pretty average smackdown mainly cos bloodline thing took up 1/3 of it. All to set up a tag match at mania that’s not really needed.

Rest of show was good bayley getting betrayed, Rey’s return and ko and randy at end was cool. Just first 40 minutes was a hard slog for me.

Because then you delay the story for no reason, WrestleMania is where it needs to end, dragging it out any longer is illogical booking.

This was a nice little promo to hype this match up, shame they didn't put it on SmackDown, Kross seriously needs to win this match.

Kross win via AOP interference while the ref isn’t looking perhaps.

Nah that would make Kross look the exact same as they've made him look for the last year and a half, he either loses or wins but with interference.

If Kross beats Lashley it has to be clean.

Who is going to help Bayley?

Dakota betraying her stinks. If she has no one at WM in her corner, it's a loss on mania day.

Dream is aj lee or Sasha banks but more likely noami and whoever wants to win tag titles off kabuki warriors
