Wasn't a fan of at the time, but when you work back from the winner facing Gunther (don't think you can have winner two years in a row go for the WWE Championship when you're trying to establish another brand specific title) Jey was the most logical choice.

The longer time goes on I’m convinced they absolutely made the right decision.

Having Gunther immediately come out and talk him down was perfect too. Makes you want to get behind Jey even more.

And as for his promo, certainly not as polished as others but you can’t beat real emotion.
