Not sure about Ben Lennon - don't think he'll play round 1. That Richmond midfield is pretty packed. Vlastuin only debuted in round 5 last year (IIRC) as well, and the Tiges might hold Lennon back similarly.

Not too sure about Dom Tyson either. Bit of a risk in the early rounds coming back from injury and finding a spot in the Paul Roos plan, I'd probably wait a few. He wasn't too flash in our intraclub game. Jimmy Toumpas is a much better option IMO, his preseason has been red hot (kicked 4 goals and was best on in the same intra-club as Tyson). Of course the NAB Challenge will speak louder than my words.

There are better choices than Honeychurch too - M Crouch, Viv Michie, Jared Polec, Xavier Ellis, etc. Lewis Taylor is injured also. Other than that it looks like a solid side!

I thought that Ben Lennon was a forward?

Medium sized at 188cm. Played midfield throughout the U18 Championships and averaged something like 30 disposals. He can play half forward, and it was his predominant junior position, but I don't think the Tigers will start him there. Even if they do, I just doubt it'll be in round 1. Could be wrong of course. At any rate he's certainly not key position, and my subjective opinion is that he's better as a midfielder, or in a Wingard/Sylvia/SJ type of role, which might mean he gets squeezed out.

Sorry to annoy you boys and sound like a ****** but where the hell is the super coach logout?I like to make a team to play with and a serious team with mates but can't find the the stupid logout lol!many thanks!supercoach nooob

also boys need your opinion… Marc Murphy V Harley Bennell and Zorko V LeCras, LeCras fully fit is a machine in my eyes and Bennell will be a beast this year but Murphy and Zorko seem the safer option!

On Chapman, alot of Essendon supporters think he'll only play 16-18 games. If he played 20 he'd be a lock.

Told ya ;)

Probably should have been given mid/fwd DPP like Billings, in hindsight,

If he plays, most would put him in fwd's rather than mids anyway,

Really struggling in the forward line, to choose 3 out of Franklin/Gray/Chappy/Parker/TMitch/Zorko/Pav/Gunston.

At the moment I've gone Parker, Chappy, Gunston, but it's hard to pick who will do well, and who won't. Too many choices

Dependant on goals really - Franklin, TMitch, Parker, Zorko, Gunston likely to play all year

Pav, Chappy and Gray more susceptible to injury and being rested - could take 2 into the bye rounds though with hope to upgrade come round 9

Monfries and Moloney went to relative basket case clubs and Maric walked into situations where there was no positional competition.

Buddy walks into a forward line featuring Tippett, Reid and probably Goodes

Tippett yes, Reid no, Goodes will be managed the whole year and might even play up the ground half forward, only one ruck now - Franklin will play his exact same role except arguably with better midfield talent around him

Hey guys and gals, like everyone, i've been having a play around with different tactics and some unique picks. Apart from Ablett, Dangerfield and Pendlebury, i'd probably take out any player in my team to make changes, but I just wanted to get some thoughts lol. I'll post my current team and then ask a few questions.

1) Wingard or Martin
2) Does anyone think Adam Tomlinson is due for a breakout?, because i'm strongly considering him.
3) Barlow and Ebert a bit of a POD?

Barlow - Marc Murphy

Grundy - Lobbe

Solid team - Dusty might just edge Wingard given Tigers relatively easy season.

$3,000 left in the bank
Not overly happy with the forward line. Would like Buddy in there rather than Tippet but I'm a measly $300 short.
Atley also worries me but I think he may breakout this year.

Any constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.

If you switch out Beams for Sheed then you can get Franklin, alternatively wait and see if you can get a based price rookie that will play
Not sure if Sheed can get into that West Coast midfield. Plus his outside game may not suit Supercoach well.
Yeah might be some last minute changes before round one to fit in Buddy.
If thats the only criticism then I am pretty content haha

Atley - Lee Spurr would get you Franklin and is a safer mid priced bet imo (spurr just named in leadership group)
Alternatively I'd wait to swap rookies. Like the d swallow pick btw!

yeah it's not too bad, Atley and Lamb i think are good calculated gambles, as are Daisy, Suckling and Sandi.

I'd question Ellis, but can't really suggest an alternative at that pricepoint

He averaged 142 SC points in the U/18 champs which was higher than everyone except for Nankervis who played in Division 2.

I didn't even think of Spurr to be honest. I'll have a look at him now. He dominated in the finals and that's what counts. Yeah D. Swallow will hopefully really come on this season.

Ellis is my POD, word out of Punt Road is that he will be playing more in and under which is great for supercoach and he is the fittest at the club ad has shown he can find the footy in the past. So i'll stick with him.

I'll have to look at his NAB challenge form against C. Beams' to make a decision. Its easier to average more in under 18's rather than with the big boys.

No doubt, however it usually is a good indicator of scoring potential in the AFL.

Second crack at it,

Not sure about big Charlie in the ruck and maybe a lack of another superstar in the middle.

Thoughts?

Forward line is great.
Not sure about Dal Santo, he finds the ball but he struggles when he gets tagged and that may continue to happen at North, but he could be a good POD. If you can find the cash I would upgrade him to a Cotchin, Fyfe or Rockliff.
Is there better options out there than Webster? I think there may be, but if you have a gut instinct with him then by all means stick with it. I just haven't heard much about him.

A few more tweaks, gents...now featuring Shuey, Parker and less ruck depth. Laidler a very speculative pick I know, and I still wanted to squeeze Clark in, but fairly happy otherwise. $2300 spare, I may look at different Eagles mids after rookie changes post NAB. Enjoy:

I'd be going with one more quality rookie in the middle by taking out Ellis or Thomas (depends if you want more $ to spend), then changing Tippett to Buddy and using the spare cash to upgrade Lamb to something else.

EDIT- or just downgrade NicNat to Mumford and then do Tippett to Buddy.

I'm not sure I can do that. I'm trying use Barlow as a POD, I'm not a fan of Murphy at all.

I would like to maybe get Grundy out, but for someone like Mumford. Has Lobbe got any real competition at PA?

He doesn't anymore, Redden's been injured. Unless you count Renouf on the rookie list. But you don't, cause it's Renouf.
