my first attempt this season at a complete team

my 100% keepers are
S.Mitchell, Hibberd, McDonald
Ablett, Cotchin, Beams, Ellis
Sandilands
Dangerfield, Zorko, Higgins
... the rest will probably change 1000 times lol

any suggestions/tips will be much appreciated!

Happy with this team for now, only slight changes to me made once round 1 teams are named I guess.

Any suggestions that could improve it I might be missing?

Good side the only thing I'd change is Grimes I just don't trust him to get through a full season unscathed but it could pay off. I'd probably change him for Sucking I'm hoping for similar output from Suckling for a lot less dollars.
With the cash I'd upgrade Thomas to premo mid like Watson/Rockliff.

Fuller hasn't played a NAB game yet, what are his chances of lining up in the early rounds?
and not sold on Zaharakis, do you think he's a keeper all year? Don't you think Daisy or M.Murphy would be a better choice?

I really like this team but if it was mine I'd go:

Enright->Suckling

Leunberger -> Lobbe or other cheaper ruck around that price

Tyson -> Rockliffe or other premo mid

But it's all a matter of balance I suppose and your side does look pretty well balanced. I just like starting with 5 premo mids to score you the big points. Also I don't trust many of the forward or back premos so feel it's a good idea to wait until a few rounds in and see who's scoring well or try to pick up a bargain.

I hear what your saying, I suppose I've got my team for best case scenario and if no rookies end up playing then I've got some changes in mind that I could do which would make my team more similar to yours. It all comes down to who gets named in 2 weeks time. There's always options like Laidler, Rohan and these types that are cheap but will most likely get games.

I'm keen on Zaha, I think he can be good for the year!
I really don't think Daisy will do much imo

Solid team, not sold on Zorko or Higgins though. I like your picks of Zaharakis and Swallow. Perhaps downgrade Higgins to a rookie and use the money to upgrade Zorko to a higher priced premo.

I don't get the hype with Honeychurch. Not in the best 22 and he's playing behind Dalhaus, Dickson and Giansiracusa (who will be sub every game).
Higgins is in the dogs best 22. Obviously injury is a concern, but he's had no hiccups yet while racking up 15 touches in a half in his first NAB game. I wouldn't worry about picking him too much, no one gets teams right in the first round. 30 trades is more than sufficient to cover injuries and upgrading.

Not sold on Langford Jr spot in the team. Missing a few for the early rounds, but I don't expect him to be a start up, so maybe look elsewhere?
Sheed is pricy, looked a little out of his depth, if he doesn't start, I guess you could look to viv.

downgrade Goldstein to a Mummy, and then use the cash to upgrade Murphy, also Honeychurch may have a few players ahead of him, well according to the doggie supporters, and I guess they would know.

Claye Beams a decent pick in the mids, I've had my eye on him (Although currently not in my team).
Not sold on Dixon, but have also taken the risk with Higgins!
Don't like picking Key Forwards, very inconsistent. Better off going with the FWDs that play Midfield as well.

Langford will most likely exit my team.
couldn't decide on any other premium apart from mitchell and Simpson, chose hodge out of frustration of having someone safe in that position. was tossing up between s.thompson and h.taylor as well. really wanted laidler as a d7 for that extra security but using the cash in order to have a 3rd def premium instead of mid priced risks.

midfield wont sit still. gone the extra cash to get vince over daisy and dyson over michie or c.beams.

if nicnat isnt available r1 im swapping him to mumford. not worried about injury prone players since I love to trade. will just be an excuse to bring in a player I want.

not sold on many fwd rookies so gone with the risky yet common picks of caddy and higgins. no other fwd premiums stand out to me so happy to go with the midpriced range in the fwd line.

It looks fairly weak overall with Atley at D4 and Beams at M3. Fasolo hasn't been sighted, I'd get rid of Goldstein and save some money to spend elsewhere.
