Neither. Too many def rookies in the midfield.

Side 1 has Hanley and Swallow neither are rookies IMO Hanley and Swallow are better than a Murphy and Thomas as well as they are DPP.

Longer taps Savage Goal. Centimetre perfect by the Saints from the boundary 50m out!

Good point.

But

You want premium scoring midfielders in the midfield. Back/mids will score 95-115
Mids 105-130+. You lose scoring power.

Thanks they are both the same team just with all the DPP players moved around.

I like Shaw. Good POD and he could come back hard. Reid is in Interesting too. Not for me though.

I considered Blease as well. Just not convinced and I think you can do better for that money.

Westhoff and hale just don't do it for me. Too inconsistent. I would of taken faso loo too but he was very ordinary in what I saw of him in NAB matches so far.

What do you guys think of Aaron Black from North? Potential F4?
Pro: athletic, good at ground level, works up the ground, loves a tackle and is good going inside 50. Should kick 35+, should consolidate from last year and go up in value overall.

Con: really awkward price. He may have a quick $100K in him but it's a big gamble. North's forward setup is built around sharing the love between 3 talls so that defenses can't overcommit to one of them, so there will be weeks when he's plan C thanks to matchups.

very quality side.

how much $ do you have left over? the only thing i might say is maybe down thomas to michie or tyson and have the extra cash to play around and fix up rookies in the first couple of weeks. those 2 could score very similar to thomas

only got 2k left

Forward line looks a massive problem for you....

Had a few people mention this about my first team so I have 2 options I'm trying out. Which one looks better?
This was the team in question..

First option is swapping Bartell for Alphabet Soup and then upgrading Buddy to NRoo and Garlet to Wright.
Keeping a 4-1-3 midfield.
2014_SC_second_draft.jpg

Second option is to go down to a 3-1-4 midfield, keep my DEF structure the same (can't decide on Walker or Bartel).
This gives me even more cash to to fix the forwards and can go Mitchell over Wright.

Thoughts?

Laugh at all the clowns that left out Ablett, pendles and beams who are now 500 off the lead and can't afford to buy them. :D
Or come rnd 5 buy them in less than cost at the start! I do however have Ablett and Beams.

Rookies are the only players you can bank on increasing value in the first month of the season. Premiums sometimes will but usually dip a little.

And Danger and Dusty and Swallow, so no DPP cover, no need to leave them all out but it needs to be in the back of your mind. I had a 'no worries' attitude towards byes last year and ended up blowing 9 trades in 3 weeks and scored bugger all.
