The commentators are trying to get Dangerfield off already for his cheap shot on Byrnes, his elbow slid up off the shoulder etc.

Wins like this one are the best when everyone is writing us off including the commentators and the umpires are against as well.

Also great to see all the supporters in the rooms with the players to celebrate the win, that was the shot in the arm we needed.

This season is back on now with a few of our better players coming back in the next few weeks, we have a lot to look forward to.

Can't forget Windhager tonight.

25 touches and 2 goals, tagging Holmes 19 touches 1 goal. Very very similar to Jack Steele when he first came to us.

He had some really smart moments too. Did a few things that will go down well in the review. Owens and Windy took a big step forward tonight. They don't look like developing kids any more.

Barrels said "It’s funny, but of all the neutrals, Dermott Brereton seems to have a real soft spot for us."

He really walks the line between loving respect and patronising cliches with us, like he's talking about his dopey dog or something.

He's a local and grew up with a few Saints supporting mates iirc but still is tainted by that Hawthorn superiority complex and deep down thinks we're loveable losers.

What a first game for Keeler.
Some players get to sit in a forward pocket for their first game.
Keeler showed that as well as a potential freakish talent , he's got guts.
Looked injured in the last quarter , how he right for next week - if we can get some confidence into him he could become a very good player.
However if King gets back next week he might not get a spot.
What a difference it is having a top line mid in the lineup - Macrae is a game changer especially when Marshall is on his game.
Higgins once again showed he is our most dangerous forward and it is great to see Owens back to his contested best.
Brad Hill was again very quiet again and for a guy who spent 91% TOG.
And looks like Hammer has cemented his spot in the backline.

Looking at the match how can you predict how this team is going to perform one to the next.

He used to whack us until he worked for us. I still remember him saying he thanks god he lived a street away from our zone or something along those lines.

Some downsides - Hill only 200 metres gained and minimal impact. Garcia minimal impact as the sub. Hall very quiet first half.

Incredible......absolutely incredible.

Who saw that first hald coming....no one !!!!

But....it was like slowly sinking in quick sand there after.......but...we held on.......that was an absolute heart attack special in the last qtr.

The atmosphere in the last was electric.

I think it was General Custer....or I think it wasGgeneral Custer... who said:

"To the bar"

Hold on....I'm in one already.....heaps of very happy Sainters.

Enjoy the win Sainters...4 points are 4 points in a HUGE upset.....absolutely no one gave us a hope.

VIVA LE SAINTS.

If its just a cramp, fine.
But its easy to injure yourself pushing through a cramp.
He struck me as very much a confidence player, his time spent in ruck saw him ramp up what he was attempting to do.

Watching Jack Macrae tonight I felt both envious and sad for Bulldogs supporters.

He was very, very good. His tackling pressure today was outstanding.

The stats might not be kind, but Hills efforts can’t be denied tonight. 1%ers are often more important than meters gained

I thought he did some good things too. He was having a go even if the stats look ordinary.
