That wasn’t my pointwouldnt say that. his 4th quarter was very good.
That’s what they do, from 3/4 of next to nuthin’, to winning you a game of footy you hadn’t won in your last 12 meetings. That wasn’t my point
I don’t cate if a player actually wins a game from a one quarter effort
That’s not a standard
A standard is consistency
I’m all for Martin coming back
He does have X factor and is solid at times
But goes missing a lot in big chunks
All I’m saying is if he is quiet afain
I won’t be surprised if he has to find touch and rhythm again in the 2’s
Well time will tellThat’s what they do, from 3/4 of next to nuthin’, to winning you a game of footy you hadn’t won in your last 12 meetings.
His first 3 quarters are superfluous, that’s the “X” in the X-factor.
What the **** is that supposed to do for me?Well time will tell
He was helping out in the back pocket at one stage.I'd love to see the pressure stats. I thought he was everywhere.
How I imagine the poster when I read these kinds of posts:Pittonet won’t be dropped, nor will Owies, Durdin, O’Brien, Setterfield and Fisher.
We just beat two teams that have won 4 out of the last 6 flags.
Some truly bizarre ideas floating around in here.
Cerra is an automatic in, sorry Fogs.
Martin is normally an automatic, but that leaves one of my “won’t be dropped” group look shaky.
The objective of the game isn't to mirror the opposition: it's to beat them. What leads you to believe we don't need a second ruck against Hawthorn?

Would only be dropped if he had leather poisoning...Dropping Kennedy now.
Poor guy must be so tired after playing TWO games.

Lmao. No I just cbf responding to someone who can't comprehend. I didnt back away from anything. Thanks Jim, doesn't answer the question which wasn't directed at you.
Skyhorse backed away from a pretty clear statement about the ruck matchup against Hawthorn. I'm seeking clarification from him.

I said jsos can second ruck in the original post. Its still right there.
Oohhh...like it.Here's the thing about Durdin....he was quieter than last week, but that was mostly because the talls were clunking them and slotting goals early, and late in the game we couldn't get it forward.
There's a real penchant on BigFooty for reactionary changes. Someone has a quiet week, may as well drop them and see if someone else can do more. I'm pretty confident that's not the right approach, nor is it the one the coaches will take.
No "omitting" players after a single quiet outing, especially those in roles which are traditionally feast-or-famine.
Interesting, those looking at Newman to get dropped, how does Williams not come into your line of thinking?
Is it purely based on us paying him $900,000 a year?
Hawks have absolutely no one out going into the game and lost wingard at the half. Ports forward line is shithiuse without Dixon cause the other talls aren’t capable of bringing the ball to ground and the backline is just insipid without allir and clurey. Port have dominated them in the major stats. Hawks are absolutely gonna be no easy feat but let’s not forget the factsTo all the people talking up metering out punishment this week to the Hawks for the past can I suggest you watch a replay of the Port game. They are pretty good. I’ll be happy if we beat them.
