Sam Mitchell is the best coach in the comp
He completed out coach voss after the first qrt
To me this feels like a loss after leading by 7 goals
If you need a loss, go ahead and have it. I like winning. Especially when we could have lost. Big difference.

Sam Docherty, that is all.

Not really. Carlton players protecting played a part. Good thing is we held on especially after kicking a goal to get back in front .Not ideal but we won . ****ing proud of this team .

My heart my pounding, my mind was racing. But i love this club, love that they found a way after only really playing one good quarter. Weiters, Doc, JSOS, Hewett outstanding. CCCCCCCAAAAAAAARRRRRRRLLLLLLLTTTTTTTTOOOOOOOONNNNNNN!!!!
O'brion o got stage fright once again and he is not up to it

Three games, three 7-goal guarters, three wins, though we were lucky to get away with this one. Nice to get the win despite the reality check.

JSOS and Doc tied for BOG for me. Weiters solid. Harry with some strong efforts. Thought Setters and Newman were both good in their roles.

Owies and Durdin did well but had limited opportunities for two different reasons -- in the 1st quarter our talls couldn't drop a mark, and after that they struggled to bring it to ground.

TDK still more potential than reality. Fair enough to keep playing him to further his development, but if we had an absolutely must-win game I'm not sure he makes the cut right now.

Cripps generally good but had a couple of moments lapsing into bad old habits of trying to do too much or be too clever. Needs to stamp that out.

Our forward system in the first half all but disappeared in the second. Plenty to work on this week. But really, kudos to the whole team for finding a way to win.

Onward.

Not going to be excited about how far this team can go until we stop giving up leads. Grinding out a win is great, but you shouldn't be doing it when you've led by like 40 points at one stage. That's just bad football.

The first step is getting in position to win, which we’ve done 3/3 weeks.

The second is the team (including Voss) ironing out the kinks in the gameplan, understanding where we went wrong and improving on it throughout the season.

We’re coming from years upon years of being outside the 8, it’s going to take time.

Tell that to Collingwood.

Think some people need to crack open a cold one or otherwise take a chill pill and enjoy the win.

Whether you win by 1 point or 30, we get the 4 points. Life's too short to be a constant negative ninny.

Sweet, sweet, evil joy drinking in Hawks tears about the umpires.

You’ve only had 15 years of that kind of thing.
Don't start me on the umpires!
That was a bloody mark! Hazza took it fair and square. Would have broken the dynamic. Really important moment. Then another couple of bullshit decisions etc etc. (Hi Thy!)

Im not talking about winning champ im talking about the last 3 qrts and the fact we had a 7 goal lead and got completely out coached and played even voss was disappointed

Nice post there muscles.

Voss would be happy with the win. We had four forced changes and newish back line.

Plus, up until now, hawks were undefeated.
