You must be clowning! We smashed the first quarter then gutted out a close win again a team that was also undefeated. Stuff to improve but, my goodness, that was hardly mediocrity. Give me a spell.

Not at all we will be inconsistent but to not regroup today (over three qtrs) and surge again given our performances in the first two games was surprising.

Needed a plan B today, when they started flooding our 50 and double/triple teaming the big guys we should have been chip passing around the arc and taking shots from 50, instead of still bombing it into the spot.

At the very least it would have made them adjust a winning formula.

Agree, when it hits the ground the hawks were good. We needed other plans as entries were monotonous in the second.

I am fan of his, but Zac Williams didn't help much nerves at all in the 2nd half.

On a happier note, Charlie soaring majestically in the air and taking some really strong grabs made my spirit soar.

Wouldn't be a 21st Century Carlton win without being on a turbulent emotional roller coaster.

Bugger it - I have had 20 years of being negative.

I'm taking the attitude that it's a good that we are disappointed with a 1pt WIN over Hawthorn. If it was Richmond, Geelong or Melbourne the press would be talking about how a good team just finds a way to win - which we did. WE WON.

Still a lot to work on obviously and should have put them out of the game early.

But equally I wouldn't be over the moon if I was a Hawthorn supporter either. They were jumped at the start (why ?), got the momentum back but equally couldn't put us away either.


Just need the Aussie girl's to finish off the Poms in the cricket and it will be a good day. !!
