Round 1 honourable loss by 9 points to Geelong (widely regarded as a good effort considering what had happened the year before).
Flogged by Sydney in Round 2.
Lose showdown by 6 points in Round 3.

Does this mean we are due to be 47 points up late in the 3rd quarter against Melbourne on thursday and end up losing by 20.

I hope it’s more like 2010 or 2012, but you’re 100% right about it looking like 2008 all over again.

7 win season with some absolutely bullshit losses coming up. We’ll blow a couple of big leads and lose a lot of games by under a goal.

Yep. We’ve already blown two handy leads in 3 weeks.

Not getting spoken about much but our 3 last quarters this year it’s been 15.7 to 3.8 we’ve been outscored.

So not only has our game plan turned to complete shit, we clearly aren’t fit enough and didn’t put the work in over the pre season.

2008 we ran out of puff in so many games.

Brisbane at aami, Hawks in Tassie, Carlton at aami, 7 goal plus leads all resulting in losses.

The fact we were also humiliated in the gf the year before, not dissimilar to the prelim last year. It’s all way too familiar.

A 7 win season seems about right.

I watched the SANFL game, Bergmann was the only one who should be recalled. He actually looked good in the middle, very Ebert like.

Not sure if a half fit Clurey or Gray fixes anything.

Just a little bla about this game.

Wasn’t 2008 when Burgess abandoned us in the middle of preseason and was ‘replaced’ by some random with manboobs?

At least being woefully underdone made sense in that instance.

IN: Clurey, Bergman, Gray, Hayes
OUT: Skinner, McEntee, Motlop, Mayes

There is absolutely no way we can go in against Gawn and Jackson with just Lycett. Whether Hayes is ready or not, he is a must this game.

FOLL: S.Lycett W.Drew Z.Butters
INTER: T.Boak, M.Bergman, J.Mead, S.Hayes
Sub: J.McEntee

Hayes just has to play. Utter bullshit if not selected.
Motlop out for Gray.
Hoping Clurey back for Skinner.
Seeing what Fredricks bro did for Freo against WC 1st half last week... it's time to see if Marty can do similar (I'm sure he can)

What was going on with Michael Frederick isn’t going to happen on Thursday. Nobody with West Coast could keep up on the turnover. Was 20 metres clear inside 50 more times than I think I’ve ever seen before and probably could have kicked 5 plus had they chosen to use him.
Could give it a shot though
