The three phases of Hinkley are:

2013-14: Not realising he's crap.
2015-16: Thinking he could be crap.
2017-22: Definitely knowing he's crap.

I think we can distill it to two phases

The non sack Hinkley era:
2013: yes we ken!
2014: yes we ken!

The sack Hinkley era:
2015: sack Hinkley
2016: sack Hinkley
2017: sack hinkley already
2018: why haven't we sacked him yet?
2019: for **** sake sack Hinkley
2020: just sack him.
2021: how can you defend this just end it
2022: lol

Wouldn't be surprised if Hinkley ended up with "covid" wink wink nudge nudge... just to relieve some of the pressure on him.....

*Dear ports... That want work sack the prick.
Hinkley faking Covid for a week out of the spotlight, then us playing well and winning would be hilarious.

Well. This just put a damper on my night.

Lyon, Caro and Eddie all together taking the “club was a basket case before Ken came along” line. Wonder who paid them to say that?

This suggests the club really may be set on letting Ken see out 2022.

But the ace up our sleeve is diminishing crowd attendances. Please boycott games guys - I know it sucks, I know it doesn’t feel right. It hurts the club, but what is financially lost now will still be less than what’s to come if Ken stays at the helm

He's the only one that's turned on him. 5aa were turning critical ken callers away. I'm honestly bewildered as to how he has any fans ... ?
5AA are Crow lovers anyway - of course they want Ken to stay.

The only person on that panel talking sense is Matthew Lloyd! We've got Caro carrying on questioning what the hell is wrong with Port fans. Then we have Ross Lyon reminding us that we were a "basket case" when Ken Hinkley and Koch came to the club and we were close to pulling off a couple of wins this season. I'm convinced Lyon hasn't even watched the games because the scoreboard flattered us against Brisbane, we got pumped by Hawthorn and had a last quarter fade out against the Crows.

#Hinkleyapologists!

The media defense for Ken continues. This time they have pulled out Blighty to go into bat for poor Ken.

Hinkley is contracted until the end of the 2023 season and Blight is not even contemplating the thought of Hinkley not coaching until then.

He argues Hinkley has had only one losing season in his career (when a side loses more games than it wins).

“If you were sitting on a board now, you’d say that was a pretty good business,’’ Blight said.

The noise within the playing group was strong, Blight said, and the noise outside the playing group was from frustrated fans.

“They’ve come from the floor this mob with this bloke as coach and OK, there’s not a lifetime guarantee for anyone, but they’ve hit a hurdle (right now),’’ he said.

“The past two years, they’ve led in the Melbourne Cup and just got nutted.

“If I could’ve taken anything in footy, I’d take top four any time of the day and he’s done it repeatedly.

The constant defending of him from the Malbun boys club is laughable. If this was one of the big Victorian clubs they would've had him sacked 5 years ago. But at the Little Olds, finishing 10th for a few years then 3rd for a few years before dropping back down to the bottom is seen as some sort of bizarre pass mark.

In that Footy Classified crew you've got Ross Lyon who is an ex teammate and Eddie McGuire who hates us and would love nothing more than to have a no hoper coach us for as long as possible.

And now we've got Blighty, who coached him and gave him his start in coaching, alleging that he's made top 4 repeatedly when in actual fact he's made it in 2 of 9 years and soon to be 2 of 10 years which is actually statistically below average.

It's just ridiculous.

lol only thing getting nutted is our club by Hinkley and Koch and by extension the AFL.

Caro, Lyon, Blight, Korner, Rucci et al watching on like

Sure Putin's had a rough trot lately, his invasion and attempted genocide isn't going smoothly, but he's our leader! You just gotta back him!
If you're going to be negative why don't you just go and support the Ukraine!

The fact it is really on the agenda is a good thing. I don't watch the Fox shows but on the 3 channel 9 shows I've watched since the weekend its been on the agenda. Its real. Its being felt. Its being openly talked about. Another demoralising loss tomorrow and the story grows another leg.

Lyon, whilst having a bet each way and protecting his coaching buddy, still gave the impression that there definitely be a same vibe he felt in his dying days at Freo.

Small crowd and a schalacking is what I'm barracking for tomorrow night. The season is done. The pressure to **** him off must continue to grow.
