A Jarman? Modra??

Modra was there in 1997 and 98. Kicked 84 goals in 97, without him they could easily have finished lower on the table and missed out on their standard home finals advantage.

The lapdog has spoken.

I mean apart from the obviously disgusting tactic of again using players as scapegoats, what the actual **** sort of approach is this for a club.

Melbourne - Play for the long suffering fans
Richmond - Play for the fans
Western Bulldogs - Play for the fans
West Coast - Play for the fans and the state
Port Adelaide - Forget the fans or club, that's just stupid abusive white noise. Instead focus all your energy on playing to extend the career of one bloke from Camperdown. That's all that matters.

I'm just glad crows had there version of Hinkley in Neil Craig otherwise they could of had another premiership or 2.

I think we are in a similar spot with the list as well. Remember Sando came in and had success and it took god level hawthorn era to stop and then further with pyke/walsh. I think we'll have the same the key is to keep recruiting unlike them but we have a attractive list this time to get some good candidates.

Leadership gets old.
10 years is a point where you can't get by on being 'acceptable' anymore, in any leadership position.
If you wonder where the players get their fear of success from, look at the club leaders who refuse to make hard decisions.

Lyon, Caro and Eddie all together taking the “club was a basket case before Ken came along” line. Wonder who paid them to say that?
None of them know what it's like to have supported a team that won 35 premierships and that has now been turned into a stinking pile of mediocrity by Hinkley and Koch. In their mind, we are a SUNS or GWS-tier club who is punching above their weight under Hinkley's astute leadership. The only interstate clubs they have a modicum of respect for are the Eagles, Swans, and bizarrely, the Crows.

You know what? Collingwood was a basket case in the 90s. Richmond were a basket case for 30 years. Ross Lyon played for ****ing Fitzroy and coached ST Kilda and Freo. He is the epitome of basket cases.

Virtually every club in the comp has been a "basket case" at some point in the last 35 years. Time to let that narrative go.

Carn nobody respects the Crows. Not even the Crows respect the Crows.

If Port get thrashed tonight and are 0-4, the media will no longer be able to say "well Ken took the club from being a basketcase..." because at 0-4 with some incredibly ugly losses, he will have returned them right back to where he started.

lol, if anyone hadn't realised Blight has completely loss the plot they should now.

Premiership winning coach says he'd rather just finish top four than actually win a flag.

He's also quoted as saying "he's (that's old mate btw who happens to be his old mate) finished top 4 repeatedly. Now you might surmise

that Ken has regularly coached us to a top 4 finish when in fact he's done it twice in 9yrs. That's twice boys n girls... twice !!!

This happened last year and the year before so not bad eh. Didn't happen for 7yrs and 2 (3?) extensions but hold on to your hat

in consecutive years we finished in the top 4 (Blight's metric). This gave us the inside running to frustrate and embarrass ourselves

on the national stage at the pointy end of the season with a grand final on the line and by jeez did we grab that opportunity or what.

First Richmond then The Dogs we took it up to both of 'em. Took out their knees with our gonads then pulverised their fists with our jaw.

Yes no investigation or thought that the only top 4's happened with the rest of the comps teams were all greatly inconvenienced for months each season.

Hawthorn and Melbourne were basket cases as recently as 1996 and were going to be merged. Hawthorn have since won 4 flags and Melbourne 1. 4 of those 5 flags have come in the period that Kenny Hinkley has been saving the poor little battler club from Alberton from oblivion.

Yeah, two Top 4 finishes in 9 years in an 18 team comp is the exact definition of statistically average.

Any supporter of any team in any sport in the world aspires for their team to win things, not be average.

What's so hard to get?
