NM get:
DBJ, future 1st and current 3rd (we don't have a 2nd this year).

Port get:
JHF, future 4th.
This is just as dumb as the 'Butters plus two first rounders' suggestions going the other way. If Norf took that offer they may as well fold them now.

I'm surprised we're not folding them right now.

If any players got shaken loose from Sydney Logan McDonald looks just like Wayne Carey at the same age. I'd sooner have him than Horne-Francis although that would be a great consolation prize. Imagine getting McDonald and then getting Lukocious as a free agent. Even Ken might take them to a premiership.

Buddy is more likely to shaken loose from Sydney than Logan. I can actually see Buddy being asked to consider his options at the end of the year. Swans are moving on very quickly.

So Ely Smith is producing a solid seconds season at the lions.

Maybe shake him loose for a fourth rounder.

We are supposed to be keen.

How about Ainsworth at the Suns? Suns need cap and list space. Might be able to shake him loose for relatively cheap. Would give us some needed half forward, small forward depth and can rotate through the midfield.

Likewise Sandy Brock and Patrick Murtagh from the suns for some key position depth.

Clearly Dunkley would make us a better team today but as a club we need a clear idea of when our next flag is likely to come and make list management decisions on that basis.

I’d suggest we would be better served drafting some key position players with our early picks, continue to develop Rozee/Butters/Drew in the midfield and save the salary cap for a target in a year or two (ideally Horne-Francis) when we are ready to contend.

JHF liked the post, then unliked it - I guess he realised it was ridiculously one-sided...

I'd be thinking if the relationship with North wasn't beyond toxic before he liked the post it was after. I'd like him but I just don't see a deal that makes it happen this year unless North are desperate to cut their losses and he is only willing to deal with us. 1st round pick this year and a 2nd next year as a premium to get him this year is as much as I'd stretch it.

We live in a world where 'liking' a dumb social media post is cause for uproar.

Is there nothing else they can talk about?

Saw the Hawthorn - Collingwood game at the weekend and must say I was again impressed with Chad.

When is he out of contract? Is there a way back in a post-Ken world?

A year or two in mid, then spend the golden years "20&2" in the forward line.

I suspect we'd also have to get rid of Chris Davies and Chad Cornes at the very least to be a chance.

Wins all round then. Davies is really one of the big disappointments for me this year. We've already known Koch and Ken are shit for years. Richo took about 5 minutes in the big seat to show he's as spineless and stupid as KT became. There was always the hope from some of his comments Davies didn't like the situation, but wasn't in the position to do anything about it. This year though he's joined in the gaslighting of fans and BJ's for Ken the rest of our off-field partakes in. Should be out the door along with the rest when we get a new coach.
