Convincing? Not at all - even when we were flying (from about 5 minutes before quarter time through to the end of the first half) we looked pretty wide open on the turnover, we had significantly fewer scoring shots than them overall, and had so many almost-critical missteps in the last ten minutes or so while the game was on the line. It's every bit the 'sugar hit' win...

...and right now, none of that matters one iota. The losing streak is over - North Melbourne are victorious! At long last, all is right with the world again.

I have been Mr Trust the Process for the last two years, not getting too caught up on results. But there was a point in that last quarter where I buckled and went ‘I ****ING NEED THIS!’

So much to enjoy about that game. In particular.

Jy - Everywhere and in everything.
LDU - Getting boring these kind of games. Brilliant last quarter.
Curtis - Who is this kid and how did we get him with Pick 35?
Spicer - The little knocks, the thinking a second ahead of his opponent, future Cyril.
Zurhaar -Magnificent bulldozer of a man.

But mostly, it’s been nice to watch a team that looks like a professional football team the last two weeks.

- Curtis may lack a yard compared to a number of other small forwards but he is a classy, competitive highly skilled players with great awareness. Been our best 1st

2.990 over 20m in his pre-season testing last year, presumably even quicker now. Certainly not lacking in that regard - may need some more pre-seasons under his belt to have this shine through more often.

Love how, even when going through a crap phase, we continue to own Richmond, not just in special emotional games, but in general, including:

-McCartney game
-Mick's Martyn's dad tribute game
-Smashing them when Shaw just took over
-2015
-This one

The poor bastards must be legitimately brain broken over it.

They have struggled against us for 30 odd years, even in the rare times they have beaten us, it;'s never convincing.

May it long continue

Prior to this little stint of about 5 years we’d had a 3:1 win loss ratio against them.

Soon enough we’ll be back to that.

Kid is a gun.
Was amazed watching him live.
He's got more in him too I reckon. Going to be a magic 5+ years watching him at his peak.

Premiership-like celebrations! Shed a tear, loved every minute.

LDU getting that aura of all the great players - when he’s in the contest you just expect him to win the ball and make the play.

Paul Curtis has everything. Except a right foot. What a gun. Already out-bodying premiership defenders as a first-year. Softest hands in town. Left boot now looking deadly on goal.

Where has this Simpkin been? Enormous today.

Zurhaar, type of player you don’t want to leave the club. A catalyst.

Would hate/like to see a clip of all the contests we got sucked into that resulted in Richmond winning the ball outside. In the air, on the ground; the dispiriting 2 on 1’s along the boundary…..

Showed character to come through at the end, so great to get a win.

Definitely doesn't play like he has that burst (Daniel Harris was 2.82) but isn't slow and as you said, can build on it.
