It has been the most fun I’ve had as a 40-year supporter other than 2010-2011. I genuinely feel like we’re in bonus territory now, with little pressure on us. Let’s have a crack and see what happens!

Agree - and for the first time I can remember we have the good will of a large section of neutrals supporting us.
Just yesterday my Rich mate said he hoped we win the flag, because he loves the way we play.

Not as nervous about this game as I was with last weeks game, however this will be no easy feat and if we’re not careful freo can totally pinch this. I’m hoping we can come away with with no further injuries and bring last weeks hunger tonight. I hope the loss from last week has stirred them on to go even better now.

Have to agree. Always thought we were in danger of straight sets, but we held up well last week. No adams and Mihocek in average form doesn’t help though. Some of our lesser known players really need to stand up today. Can’t have any passengers in finals…

Not sure we’ve had passengers all year. Players will be up and down from week to week depending how the game pans out but generally the younger players have held their own. We also have some older players who need to stand up… eg Jeremy Howe….Brody Mihocek…

That said I reckon mccreery is overdue to kick a few. Maybe four. Maybe he’s the surprise packet.

Meant to write this last week, but am surprised no-one has mentioned the Scott bros influence on umpiring decisions, or slight bias / exploiting changing rule interpretations to aid Geelong. I’d wage a fair amount that after some of their chats / agreed conclusions, Brad instructed umpires to pay less frees to the tackler (us / pressure teams disadvantaged) and that Ginni’s tactics don’t deserve to be rewarded. Etc etc. those two are as thick as thieves and have always admitted they talk regularly. Cats getting an advantage from how to exploit interpretations - along with the running influence Brad has on umpiring decisions…

They were back to paying htb last night.
