Firstly, the "No Kane Cornes" Rule is back

Ralphy on Trading Day said its Geelong and Hawthorn leading from Essendon and Bowes is meeting with North tomorrow arvo as well decision expected tomorrow late or early Wednesday after sleeping on it. Wants to play inside mid but told at GC he is 7th in line.

If you put the inside mids at those four clubs next to each other where is he most assured to get games playing that role? Would think North due to the age of their first touch guys but Hawks cant be far off either?
So basically Ralph has no idea at all and all 4 clubs are speaking to him and his management.

If we miss out, it will be tough for this forum to run with the usual "their asking price was too high" BS when Gold Coast are trying to throw pick 7 to get rid of him.

“The draft pick would be nice to have but we’ve actually tracked him for two years as a player who can play inside-mid and has got a lot of scope to develop into an elite AFL midfielder.”
So trade for him without pick 7 you coward Mackie
A good speaker would not mention the draft pick at all

I’m not gonna go with the “his asking price was too high” but rather gonna run with “they offered him a property deal” which is probably more accurate with Essendon and Geelong involved

Can I just please ask posters to get your head around Bowes not wanting to be a Hawk.

That way if he does actually turn his back on the Cats you'll be pleasantly surprised like I will be.

And you'll hopefully melt less if he doesn't.

I still wont believe Amon is a Hawk until he runs out round 1.

You might want to change the word 'now' to 'not'.

This is where I have been for a week, think its Cats to lose almost but the melts either way will be intense I feel

This . You cannot lose something you never had .

I don't think there's anything you can say that will prevent mass melts here when he (likely) chooses the Cats.

Literally the only thing that would prevent them is "Jack Bowes has nominated Hawthorn". Anything else = melts-ville in here 😂

Wrighty getting reamed like usual
Glad that GW is no longer with us. He is just too giving. We went through years of such deals like this when he was with us.

On the other end of the spectrum, you have d!cks like Bell and Dodo who will not barge an inch. MM so far appears to be more balanced in his approach.

I'll get my head around whatever I want, cheers!

Hawthorn remains keen to lure contracted Dockers ruckman Lloyd Meek to the club. The Dockers are likely to push for a second-round selection to do a deal, with the Hawks' offer expected to be a third-rounder. – Callum Twomey

Brad Scott met with Bowes in his first official day as Essendon coach and he has also met with Hawks coach Sam Mitchell and Geelong's contingent, with the Cats' strong interest in him as a player. – Callum Twomey

I don't think this is true - I'm pretty sure they got Bowes the year they traded JOM to us and basically would have used picks we gave them? Was it Pick 10?

Our picks went to the saints, Hunter Clark and Ben Long, funny how it all goes full circle.

Real Sherri and Terri vibes from Mackie, MacKenzie, Scott, Dodo right now:

****en Cal. As though nobody else is interested in him as a player.

The lobbying is real.

All clubs have a strong interest in him in a player rather than for the draft pick just like I would only want to meet Scarlett Johansson for the conversation.
