Firstly, the "No Kane Cornes" Rule is back

I normally can rationalise a player not choosing us.

But with Bowes, we will beat any $$ terms and he has an inside mid role on a platter of he is good enough with Mitchell probably leaving and jaeger playing a different role.

He will get less $ and less opportunity at geelong. The bombers I could understand but geelong no.

For that reason I will be seriously pissed if it goes the way it looks like it will.

Can I just please ask posters to get your head around Bowes not wanting to be a Hawk.

That way if he does actually turn his back on the Cats you'll be pleasantly surprised like I will be.

And you'll hopefully melt less if he doesn't.
Currently loading up the cot with toys - readying to throw them out just after the announcement.

How many more sleeps ?

People said the same thing about O'Rourke all those years ago and I laughed.

Players are incentivised by success, won't be a surprise at all if he chooses Geelong. Extremely painful nontheless.

*en Cal. As though nobody else is interested in him as a player.

The lobbying is real.

Hawthorn are also interested in him as person, you know like whats his grandma's name, what does he do on weekends.

Not a great deal for us.
I strongly doubt we would do the deal proposed. It is not the deal being floated. The deal being floated is TOM for 16, and our second, otherwise we will move on to Brisbane for their future first, our current second and a future second.

The player muted is likely to be delisted by Collingwood.

Considering how desperate teams are to get pick 7. What is the likelihood the teams coaches are pumping up Bowes tyre's, with game time and what role.
Come round 1, pick 7 is in the 22 and Bowes is the emergency.

Absolutely players motivated by success. Maybe it’s blind hope but there is no way geelong contend beyond maybe next year. The cliff is inevitable surely.

so pessimistic about this at the moment - we been losing everything to the cats recently.

I think he will think of the opportunity for success rather than the opportunity to have regular game time and build on his craft.

every time i log on to here i expect bad news.

You'd think, but how long have we waited for geelong to fall off a cliff. Add Bruhn and Henry, if Bowes and pick 7 go, I hate to admit it, but they're not going to fall far

Sounds like Bowes got Dildoro'd

It all depends on how long Duncan/Guthrie/Stewart/Cameron/Dangerfield can play at a high level. Freaks like Selwood & Hawkins aren't the norm.

The reason I think they don't win another one is Melbourne, Bulldogs, Carlton, Richmond, Fremantle & Port Adelaide improving massively.
All 6 of them had dogshit years and based on proposed ins they'll all be significantly better in 2023,24 and 25.

Clubs asking about our pick 6 as reported by AFL.com.

I reckon these clubs might just know Bowes is choosing us and we will have pick 7 so they are waiting to see if we will move on pick 6.
Don't do this to me.
I'm not ready to be hurt again like the Cogs fiasco! In fact I've built up walls since then!

Of course we are happy to move on pick 6... As long as it is to a club inside the first 5
