Can’t believe we haven’t made any delistings yet obviously the ones we are delisting have no currency so why not delist them now why wait til after trade period
Because we have quite a few already, Lambert, Edwards, Caddy, Parker, with a few obvious ones that are yet to be announced but pretty likely to be delisted, Martyn, Aarts, plus traded Soldo (most likely), so that is 7 all up.

We gain 2 so back to 5. We will not take more than 3 draft picks, so plenty of room on our list and maybe a player like Mansell or RCD could be used in a trade deal. No mention of Stack anywhere so who knows there. Plenty of time for delistings, the players most likely know there fate or will do by end of Wednesday.

GWS are linked with O'Meara to cover the loss of Taranto and Hopper.

I wonder if there's a potential 3 way trade in there somewhere?

I don't think GWS would go for that though as they'll probably get JOM much cheaper so not point diluting their return on Hopper.

Unbelievable. This is blokes livelyhoods on the line and potentially millions of dollars. Just like the AFL make it a cheesy media spectacle. Amateurish behaviour
When the whole thing is sponsored then they have to get bang for their buck.

So they 'drag out the negotiations' so that tomorrow night there will be the 'suspense' of whether Hopper gets to us, Grundy gets to Melbourne, Mitchell gets to Pies, Dunkley gets to Lions, Lobby gets to Dogs.

You'd probably find all the deals are actually done and the AFL will stage manage the announcements so that the 'journalists' covering it have time to give their 'expert' opinions

Na I don't think so. When they talk about GWS "doing a deal for Soldo", I think they're referring to negotiating a contract (years, $$, etc.) with Soldo and his management.

Soldo is on decent money with us (not stupid money though) because the Dogs came for him a couple of years ago. To get him to move GWS would have to either up the money or offer a longer deal.
