Just from what I have seen, clear top two(ish) then next six, then next 14/15 or so. After that really is hard. Will be some bargains in 50s with hindsight.

IMO, draft class as it stands:

1. Ashcroft
2. Wardlaw (equal to Ashcroft then injured)

3. Sheezel
4. Cadman
5. Tsatas
6. Clark
7. Mackenzie
8. Humphrey

9. Phillipou
10. Hewett
11. Busslinger
12. Hollands
13. Szybkowski
14. Ginbey
15. Jefferson
16. Hotton
17. George
18. Hayes
19. Cowan
20. Keeler
21. Weddle
22. Davey Jnr
23. Barnett

Was difficult from about picks 20 on to place players.

Largely based on champs games replays, state league performances and some reports. Definitely not as nuanced as the guys on the trade and draft thread

Have not been able to watch any matches live. Get a hell of a lot more from those with a biggie being game sense of the players
I hope we go with Hewett as a comfort pick for me.

My reading of the rules is that a player can now be on the rookie list for 4 years if they didn’t change their list status in that time.

So McLean would likely need to be promoted to the senior list in this case.

However this might not be the case however if his first season as a SSP signing is not counted towards the 4 years and thus he gets an extra year on the rookie list next year.

Currently we have 30 players signed for next year on the Senior List and on the 5 Rookie List.

We have 4 players from the senior list without contracts for next year (Reid, Ronke, Bell and Naismith) and 1 Rookie without a contract (McAndrew)

We have currently 2 senior list spots and 2 rookie list spots (1 Cat A and 1 Cat B).

Those open senior list spots get taken if we trade for Francis and promote McLean this would mean we need to delist 3 of Reid, Ronke, Bell and Naismith to get to the 3 minimum draft picks.
McAndrew is contracted next year. Charlie Gardiner said this a couple of weeks ago.
Also..
A club needs to draft 3 players, but can upgrade rookies to senior list which counts in those three players. Think this rule was changed when list sizes were reduced a couple of years ago. eg.. We can upgrade 2 rookies and draft one player

But thanks for your insights.. Im way too confused????

No official announcement from the club has been made so for my purposes he is considered unconfirmed at this stage.

This has been the rule for quite a few years now and can be done via the list lodgement period or during the draft.

It’s generally only done via the draft if a club only has late draft picks they don’t want to use for example Carlton last year used their 3 draft picks to draft Motlop early then promote two rookies as they held picks at the back end of the draft.

When we promoted Bell to the senior list (the last rookie we promoted to the senior list) we didn’t do it via the draft.

Surely kinnear can turn 14 and 17 or some incarnation of it into a pick that puts us in the range for him. Dalrymple seemed smitten with him
To be frank, we have nothing they want. There is zero incentive to trade out of the top 10 for our picks that I can see at the moment.

No that's a really useful resource.

More along the lines of keeping that and then just the link for the replays thread, so people can access it easily if they wish.
It's a bit hidden away in the Phantom draft hub.
I can't embed any link separately with the spreadsheet unfortunately.
