Outside the showdown their season was really poorly attended I think given they were supposedly playing at their spiritual home and first year in the comp.

Only because 75% of the ground is a construction site and the crowd was pretty much confined to the area in front of the grandstands.

Would be akin to us declaring a sell out at Unley by setting up like a Sturt home game (where the southern and eastern sides are closed to the public)

1991 for GWS isn't too bad considering it rained all day that game, and 2573 for the Geelong game is fantastic given that game started at 5:10pm on a Friday.

Let's promote the 3 x Premiership girls, rather than hide them .....get more female posters back on the board

Chipping in... I guess cricket only has one active thread going at a time whereas AFLW will have many threads going on so makes things neater in a separate/subforum.

And then you'd post that the AFLW Crows needed their own sub forum, so everything doesn't get cluttered up in the matchday thread

This is exactly why the sub forum was created a couple of years ago.

We used to have a single thread for the AFLW side but given there could be a variety of different discussions going on at once, the mods felt it was best to create a sub forum for the AFL. That way we could have dedicated threads for things like upcoming matches, non-Crows AFLW discussion, general AFLW discussion.

Also, several other club boards have done exactly the same, so it’s not without precedent.

Lastly, the AFLW side are given equal footing to the men on our board - we’re one of the few boards who update our links each week for the AFLW side, for example.

The cricket thread used to be in the backyard

Along with all the other non-Crows threads (Movies, music, politics, TV shows, NFL, soccer etc) but one particularly boring offseason it snuck back onto the main board

We should probably shift it back tbh

The Crows AFLW board will grow with time as interest grows. Deserved more than just to be one thread on here
