I am not confident at all going into this. We’ve had one game where we’ve been absolutely obliterated, and another where we don’t know if we were good or the oppo were sh*t.
Crows on the other hand are 0-2 BUT have at least challenged for a quarter of footy.

It would be a very very bad time for the boys to have one of their signature no-shows.

The one thing we know about the Brisbane game is we had one great quarter. So that equates to 1 good quarter for the whole season and preseason so far. It's hard to have any confidence on the back of that.

I hope to be proven wrong but I can see us being belted by the cows.
Can you imagine to grief we will cop especially since we will be in our prison bars.
I have zero faith in doughnuts and it's going to cost us massively

It's a 50/50 game, but this has all the hallmarks of Port winning, the club and Hinkley backers in the media flooding us with having won 2 out of 3, with the Pies game an aberration. Ready to roll into round 4 and being flogged.

A loss to Adelaide in the PB's would hurt, but at this point it's about the only thing that might snap enough of the happy clappers out of 'He CAn'T kiCK IT FoR TheM! WhO ELse ArE We GOInG tO GeT?!', that the club (Koch/Richo) start thinking they don't want to go down with the ship (Hinkley).

No chance it gets downgraded if we challenge. We know that the system is s**t but you can’t do anything about it. No way it deserves two weeks though. It’s a free kick. The guy gets up, kicks a goal and shows no after effects. High impact is full of s**t.
our successful appeal rate would be ? im guessing 0% ever

cant recall us ever having any luck in the tribunal

Well, based on precedent…. McAdams got 3 for a high bump that didnt cause a concussion as it was “likely to cause injury.” Broad actually caused an injury. So that alone means it needs to be more than 3. It’s like attempted murder compared to murder.

So… if he gets 3, Adelaide has every right to complain and it will further prove how broken the VFL is.
if he gets 3 and burton gets 2 then the system should be ripped up, one was twice as bad as the other.

my changes would be

Out: Burton, Georgiades
In: Pasini, Scully/Lord, Boak

If the 206cm Sampson hurt the Crows defence im sure Scully or Lord will be more effective. Play Georgiades a few weeks in the SANFL to kick goals and gain confidence. Burgoyne sub

Our midfield was smashed against Collingwood and our inability or reluctance to set up more defensively meant their superior teamwork and connection allowed them to score freely. After smashing Brisbane, we tried to take on Collingwood at their gamestyle and were shown up as novices. Hopefully Bergman, Duursma, JHF and Butters all we learnt something from them. They are all promising players who all had poor days. I don't think the Crows midfield has the same level of cohesiveness or talent as Collingwood and we should have an edge over them but we need to learn to recognize when an opposition is on top and be able to slow the game down when that happens. With Burton suspended, Clurey (or McKenzie) needs to come in and hopefully towel-up Walker again. Bonner slips into the half back/wing rotation. Rankine and Rochelle are going to be problems as none of our small defenders are able to shut down smaller players like Burton can. Burgoyne was excellent in the last showdown but his form is not good at this point so I am reluctant to pick him.
Finlayson has not be conspicuously good and I am a little concerned that his off-field worries will de-rail his season anyway but he's worth the risk given how ineffective Lycett was against Collingwood. Georgiades should stay in because, despite his inaccuracy, he's creating chances for himself and others. He'll come good soon.

Out: Burton, Burgoyne, Fantasia
In: Boak, Clurey (or McKenzie if fit), Bonner, + (Finlayson as sub because of his versatility to play ruck, forward, outside mid and back and limited game time)

On Thin Ice: Jonas, DBJ,

Good to see Rucci has been trawling the board with the way he opened his show just now. Apparently we are being over the top expecting ruckman and mids and a coach to be dropped " it's only round 2" lol these guys are taking the p155 surely.

Ah good old Rucci who can be relied upon to ignore the last 10 years of failure and put it down to 1 bad week. Guessing he is still getting fed the scraps by the club to keep him onside.

Bring back Robbie Gray for another retirement match
