I like how he doesn’t look as flat footed as I expected, and has clean hands. That’s two key ingredients right there - never stand still and don’t fumble.

The polar opposite to Sheed at the moment, who has a bad case of fummbleitis and often looks glued to the spot.

His football has regressed badly, hopefully he turns it around asap.

Looking forward to seeing a midfield of Ginbey, Culley, Yeo and Kelly. Kelly should be able to be freed up to play that more attacking role he excelled at in Geelong with that set up.

Kelly has been getting about 2-3 shots on goal a week so far. Has kicked one goal in each of the first three games and two behinds last week. Is great to see him attacking.

It is good to see and when an attacking super skilled mid, has some bigger bodied mids around them that block and screen, giving them extra time and space they generally become a more dangerous weapon themselves.

People often bang on about how good Judd, Cousins and Kerr were in their heyday, and to an extent rightfully so, however their jobs were made so much easier with the likes of Chick, Stenglein, Jones, Braun and Waters blocking and screening for them.

It was the sum of the parts that made that midfield so effective ...... of course Cox giving them feed also helped.

As Ginbey, Culley and Hewett grow as players so too will Kelly offensive output.

Look no further than when he was the "Fifth Beatle" at Geelong and how creative he was and also how he impacted the score board.... he was fifth in the Brownlow Medal.
