Thought it would be interesting to look at our list and break it down into the different categories of kicking skills and compare it to the best teams in the league and see how they add up. Clear to me we have a dearth of ball users ahead of the ball.

Obviously, you can argue for and against some players being in the elite category vs average etc but I think for the most part that's close to an accurate list. Some half forwards aren't elite kicks in general but are very very good at delivering the ball inside 50 so I put them in the elite category.

I like the effort you’ve gone here and obviously a lot of this is subjective, I’m a bit confused about Mihocek of the Pies being rated as poor, Mihocek goal kicking accuracy is over 60%, very similar to Curnow.

More his field kicking than anything, obviously it's all subjective as you said, but I still think the large majority are accurate and exemplify our lack of footskills in the team.

Ben McKay is a great player - but he is just so far from what we need right now. We need to target the draft and acquiring players with elite kicking skills and spread from the contest. Another small/medium forward should also be prioritised. A key defender is so far down the priority list it's not funny. Add to that the fact that he is injury prone, a restricted FA (so will need to do a trade) and will demand decent $$ and it's a big NO.
I‘m assuming this is about Ben mckay but for those of us who don’t have Facebook could you please tell us what’s being said and who’s saying it.

Lets just say hypothetically we move TDK, Kennedy, Fisher and Gov out at the end of year. What picks do people see us getting in return for each? I think those are really our only 4 that we'd be able to move if we had to that could generate any sort of currency.

Fisher - 3rd round
Kennedy- Late 2nd
Gov - Early 3rd
TDK - Late first plus change

Alot would depend on fitness and form come the end of the year.

Once Marchbank and Cuningham (and Martin too) get back on the park I’m extremely confident that they’ll repay the faith that the club has in them - trust in Andrew Russell.

This is contrary to previous opinions you have expressed. That doesn't bother me, except why are you bringing up names that are hardly being talked about?

I'd hate to think you were being disingenuous and trying to draw negative comments from others.

Harley Reid and pick 8  Might be a few support that if the lad looks good in the guernsey when he rolls out for us in the VFL soon.
I’d take it, Crippa is going to burn out playing “the system” way to much brutal heavy lifting. Love him to death but for 1 & 8 I’ll take the 2 young guns. It took Walsh what maybe 5 minutes to be comfortable, 5 min later he was a star, I’ll happily take that and another top pick for Crippa, will caveat that by saying i wouldn’t support it if Voss was coach

Thanks for asking, I was only commenting and adding to DangerousD’s post, however I did add Jack Martin’s name unnecessarily - I will correct that.

Kennedy a late second early third
Fisher a pick 40-50
Gov I think would only go to a top side so maybe a very late second
TDK pick~15

Do you know how many games these three have played together? Zero so Ill say the chances of that happening now are buckleys and none.

I did this a while ago, heres the games they have played together:

If you want to add Zac Williams into the mix, here's how many the four of them have played together in varying in confirmation:
