We’re really getting into sado-masochistic self-flagellation at this stage, aren’t we? Time to check out, I reckon. We’re just one step away from “Cunners was never any good”.

Richmond supporters here went ECO (emotionally checking out) when it looked like dimma was a bust. Worked for them, lets hope it works for us!

Sorry for butting in. I came here as a supercoacher looking for LDU injury news.
The mood here feels familiar. In 2020 we were awful and took until Rd 15 to win a game, but less than 3 years later, we’re looking like a top 8 side.
Keep the faith. You’ve got a good coach and a lot of young players. Things will turn.

I reckon we are a sneaky chance this week. Sure we've been hit by injuries and are playing like s**t, but they have quite a few top liners out this week and aren't traveling so well themselves. We are getting them at a good time.

I respect your optimism

I was thinking exactly that the other day.

There's actually a weird logic behind it too.

TT - half back, Sheezel to forward/mid

*Dawson if Bonar not ready

It probably didn't help that LMac kicked it straight to Chapman with his first touch, and went back over his head through the big white poles.

My take on Luke is that he was physically very well developed as a junior - he was pretty much the same body shape as he is now. This made him stand out, notably with his ability as an 18 year old to kick the ball 60 metres - I remember him kicking a goal from the centre square at Princes Park when he was playing VFL for werribee as a junior.

Those attributes over-inflated his reputation, but we weren't the only ones - without the F/S system, West Coast were prepared to take him for a top 10 pick.

Our problem was political - we had to match the bid, partly because Donald was still an influential figure, and partly because we contributed to the over-marketing by parading him at Werribee
There was rumor that we weren’t looking to take Luke as a father son when we learnt of West Coasts bid.

Probably bullshit. Probably true. Who knows.
Something to do with his old lady having a an argument with Euge over it, and ensuring that Donald never worked for the club again and Luke would never play for North in his lifetime.

I’m pretty sure we raised eyebrows in 2013 with the AFL questioning why a 17yo who hadn’t been drafted was training and spending so much time at the club. Shit to do with draft tampering and whatnot.

At the time, we were all super excited and didn’t care and I guess the club was as well about the prospect of recruiting him. There would have been a riot if we didn’t take him.
The rising star who bleeds blue and white. Perfect match.
Oh well shit happens I guess

I’ll leave this here (already posted)

As we always get monstered by small/medium forwards, Sydney will comfortably have our measure.

Papley, Heeney, Hayward.

None have been near it for weeks. Absolutely primed to kick 10 between them.

This is the issue. It seems like every team that is in putrid form and their forwards can’t kick goals, they come up against us and all of a sudden Buddy, Papley, Mills etc all kick bags and bang they’re back into form again lol

Yesh, but where is the ranking for actual opposition score donations by turnover ? , reckon we would be comfortably 1st.
The only donations that don’t get a deduction

The McCartin's appear to be living proof that there is a lot more to concussion than getting hit a lot / hard. There are clearly genetic and physiological differences that make some people more vulnerable.
