Is it possible that those players who’ve spent the most time in the VFL since Clarko came onboard will actually be the better players on Saturday as they have had more time to learn/adapt to his systems?
Anything is possible, but you’d hope those in the firsts who have played with the same system for the same leangth of time cancel that out.

If the players in the reserves have had time to learn the new systems, then the seniors have had the same time, and more games, to learn the same.
As a working theory, I guess the VFL players have been able to do it under less match day pressure and without the impact of getting thrashed on the scoreboard.

If they were a settled group. Also, the seconds are often used for experimentation.
I’ll be stoked if the VFL promotions play well though.

Ok but they have a lot more to unlearn and a bunch of bad habits to overcome which I reckon might cancel out those with no baggage?
I guess I am just meaning that the benefit of coming from a strong seconds structure that plays to the game plan is only there if the seniors are already doing it. And hopefully doing it well.
Otherwise it is just two teams learning.

Interested to know if a club has ever won a game after 6 changes?

How many do Sydney have?

I remember going into an Elimination Final in 2015 having a win after making a few changes from the week before.

One change after the match was the AFL introducing a bye before the finals.

I think you’ve actually hit the nail on the head 👍

I just have a feeling we'll be a lot more competitive this week. We know they are capable of it, the effort was there in the first 2 rounds.

Plus as I said earlier, Swans are significantly weakened at the moment, this could be our best chance to beat them in a while.

It could go either way. Wouldn’t surprise me if we push them all the way but LDU and Zurhaar are huge outs for us

What we need right now is for the boys to get around Clarko and deliver a backs to the wall performance like 21 years ago in 2002 when those boys got around Anthony Stevens and delivered a win in Archer's 200th over in Port Adelaide.

If ever there was a time to put the Shinboner Spirit on full display from President to boot studder, this is it.

Go North.

I'm sorry but those days are long gone I'm afraid.

We are ****ing cursed.

Sadly, I'm no longer confident that the majority of our players know which way is up.
I got to convince myself somehow. The last five years have been straight out of hell.
