Acres went at around 90% efficiency Sunday however he was just hitting short chip kicks and looked too scared
to take anything more on . (can you blame him after last few weeks?)

To me that is the problem, we look like we are playing too scared to make a mistake and this pressure we are putting on ourselves
is in fact causing errors.

Walshy was probably our worst offender last week.

Voss needs to take the pressure off and get them enjoying it more I feel.
This is what McRae has done with great effect.
Guys like Gov, Weiters , Acres, Cerra and even Saady would benefit IMO.

And yes, fully agree on Dow and Binns being given opportunity but would be Hollands, Ed or Durdin out for mine.
I don't mind Acres not biting off more than he can chew. If that's his limitation, then providing his overlap run should be his 1-wood.

Enough with the players like Saad/Walsh/Acres trying to get 3-4 possessions in a chain though. You just can't keep up that intensity and still dispose of it well. Look to stay in the play by shepherding/bumping or providing a further option up the field. I can't think of any example of when we've had a player do this sort of thing and it paid off.

If we can get over the line in this game, then I’d be really interested to see how much confidence that then instills in the team and how we approach the next really big game against Melbourne?
If we win, does it give the boys a massive kick of confidence and we get rolling.
Or
Will it be the same trend as we seeing now, in beat the lower teams and show not a lot against the good teams.

I'm more worried about winning and thereby reinforcing the same unconvincing, disorganised, error riddled game style the team has been playing to date .

Anyone who wants Gov in the forward line have very short memories.

Theirs a reason he went back, he would go stretches of 2-3 possession games with no impact.

Struggling to remember a softer big man for Carlton.

If he stays in the side it's an indictment on the playing group and MC.

Interesting seeing the comments about our lack of marking targets coming from D50.

Don't waste Kemp in the backline. Throw him at HF. Good hands, great leg. A wasted talent in a negating role. He is exactly what we need at HF.

Watching Cox on the weekend made me think of Mirkov. Cox is not a great footballer but he has been played because he is very bloody tall. He has played rubbish games early on. He stayed in the side primarily due to his height and that persistence has paid off.

We are so damn safe and impatient as a club. We are the epitome of the definition of stupidity.

The supporter voice is largely consistent. We are bored as all hell, watching the same players play the same way for the last year.

Come on club, do something different. Please.

Agree on Kemp in the forward line, seems like a no-brainer to me. Of course he would do okay in McGovs role, just think he has the talent, the kicking and marking ability to be a very good third tall.

Why do so many think Kemp is a great kick?

Why do so many think Kemp is a great kick?
Because he kicks it flat and a long way. Has a good fast motion too and because so many don't focus on the nerve driven off the side of the boot errors he makes occassionally - he like the rest of the team look like they're playing under an excess amount of stress. Self imposed or.otherwise

When Gov is not even meeting the threshold of “okay” in any of the roles given to him, Kemp simply doing “okay” would be an improvement

I asked today and said surely Dow gets a game now. Got a shake of the head and told They prefer the setup they have. They apparently don't see him at that level.

If i was a betting man, baring injuries his next game at AFL level will be at an another AFL club. Front runner the Saints.
That’s truly ****ing pathetic, it’s schoolyard shite, I’m astonished a modern sporting organisation could operate within such blinkered childish parameters, we are going nowhere with this attitude, this information has flipped me back into the “**** off” Voss camp, I didn’t want to be here, yet my hand is forced.
No more money.

I don't usually play the 'who's in and who's out' game, but I'll make an exception this time.

Out- McGovern, out of the club. Goneski. He can play for West Fremantle - half way to Rottnest - as far as I'm concerned. Don't darken the doorstep. And every other player who squibs contests, and tackles with one outstreched arm.
In - someone with mongrel.
In - someone with legspeed and skills
In - someone who can actually kick the bloody thing

Rested/rotated -
Jsos, breaks my heart to say it, but its time to see what we look like without his heart and soul.
O. Hollands looks buggered, give him a week off.
Ed, thanks warrior, but its time to be playing coach in the 2's.
Either Durdin or Mottlop. Can't carry both.

Might be an unpopular opinion but Id like to see Dow be given a run. Clearly that’s something that won’t happen though.
I don’t think it would be an unpopular opinion on here.

Even those with doubts about Dow wouldn’t begrudge him a call up on the back of his efforts this year in the magoos.
