Hawthorn doing our trick of a scoreless quarter. Meanwhile, GC winning by 11 goals doesn't seem like a lot anymore

Glad you were wrong.Adelaide will beat Collingwood today - got a feeling
In fairness to her, given how bad we get reamed by umps, there's a distinct chance of that actually happening.Levi Casboultgets caught holding the ball.PLAYERCARDSTART30Levi Casboult

Kelli: “free kick against the Swans”.
Ease up mate, I think you're selling him a bit short.Nah, N.Daicos won the Brownlow back in around 10 after getting the 3 votes in every single one for putting his jumper on the right way
That'll get him his AA jumperEase up mate, I think you're selling him a bit short.
He puts his boots on the right feet as well.
From the HS AFL Rich List highlighting the Top 10 best and worst contracts;
TOM STEWART $625,000-$725,000
How do the Cats do it? The way they keep players happy — and keep bringing more in — while keeping the salary cap smoothed out is the most savvy in the competition. How is it that a player as important as Tom Stewart is paid between $625,000-$725,000 when he would earn so much more anywhere else. Add to that the skipper Patrick Dangerfield who only just squeezed into top 100, while Tom Hawkins and Mark Blicavs are just outside the Rich 100.
'How do they do it?'
Question I've asked myself on many an occasion.
"You see, Sydney's forwards have a preset goal limit. Knowing their weakness, I allowed wave after wave of inside 50's until they reached their limit and shut down. Kif, show them the premiership I won."How did you keep it under 200 points Simmo?
Not sure how much truth there is to it (I think players have confirmed it though) but Geelong basically have payment tiers where they pay all their top 5 players the same amount, then the top 6 to 10 get the same amount and so on. They basically tell the players that they know some of them could get paid more elsewhere but if they want to be at a successful club and compete for flags they have to be willing to accept a bit less.From the HS AFL Rich List highlighting the Top 10 best and worst contracts;

Very strong rumours but club has been equally as strong in their defence, my take is it is legit.What's with all the Oliver rumours regarding his hamstring injury not being legit? Anything to it or just bs?
What the rumourVery strong rumours but club has been equally as strong in their defence, my take is it is legit.
Rumour doing the traps is that, he is serving a sanction for drugs, whether club or afl imposed, eg - 2nd strike. Doesn’t appear to be any hard evidence and club have been very strong in dismissing the rumours.What the rumour
I knew the rumour , was just wondering where you were coming fromRumour doing the traps is that, he is serving a sanction for drugs, whether club or afl imposed, eg - 2nd strike. Doesn’t appear to be any hard evidence and club have been very strong in dismissing the rumours.
It's as bogus as they comeRumour doing the traps is that, he is serving a sanction for drugs, whether club or afl imposed, eg - 2nd strike. Doesn’t appear to be any hard evidence and club have been very strong in dismissing the rumours.
I assume similar to your thoughts on it?I knew the rumour , was just wondering where you were coming from
My next door neighbour is a chippy. Colleague he works with was the one who completed large scale renovations of a significant number of Geelong players homes. He was paid for each job by the owner of Cotton On. He has seen the paperwork. They keep players because of underhanded shit like that and the employment of wives and girlfriends as social media employees. It's ****ing bullshit and if we were to do the same on the scale they are, the rules would be changed in an instant.Not sure how much truth their is too it (I think players have confirmed it though) but Geelong basically have payment tiers where they pay all their top 5 players the same amount, then the top 6 to 10 get the same amount and so on. When you couple this with the country or coastal lifestyle that can attract players willing to fit into this pay structure then it makes sense how they can have so much quality and depth on their list.
Surely other clubs should be sending the AFL a please explain over their turning a blind eye? Or at the very least sending an anonymous package to the AFL with proof and a threat of going to the media.My next door neighbour is a chippy. Thing is all clubs would do it to a degree so they are not going to bite the hand that feeds it. I'm sure part of Papley remaining at the swans would have been Collis coming up to live here and the organising of work etc for him. There would have been some cost to the swans i'm sure.Surely other clubs should be sending the AFL a please explain over their turning a blind eye? And given how badly they screwed the swans over buddy surely we'd be first in line?
Clubs would know which others are pushing it to extremes - Geelong being the obvious one. I'd still be pushing it if I were the swans. If we're 5% over the cap based on those deals, but Geelong is 20% above. Then you have to say, **** it, let's either make it even or do away with it.Thing is all clubs would do it to a degree so they are not going to bite the hand that feeds it.
