I've had enough of all of these kents already.

Nothing would satisfy me more right now than drafting H.Reid and watch him kick a bag against the tin-rattlers.

And anyone else wanting to entertain splitting the pick in this massively compromised draft needs to give themselves an uppercut as well.

I honestly believe McKercher is as good as Reid.
Curtins' ceiling is as high as those two as well imo.

They all have different strengths and styles, but the 3 of them are equally impressive prospects imo.

I'm pretty sure we'll take one of them, so we can't really lose whichever way we go..........imo.
I think Curtin is limited because there's a question whether he's good enough to play mid in the AFL, and a question whether he's tall enough to be CHB in the AFL. If he doesn't cut it with those two, he's Birchall/Enright/Rich running off half back. Nothing to be sneered at unless the other two end up being Dusty and Neale.

I think this year, Reid, McKercher, Watson, Curtin, and Sanders will be AFL stars. I think Duursma and Caddy a step back - more like Phillipou in that they could be anything. A little bit of risk. The issue with the Wizz - he's going to be a star alright, but typically when you have a top 5 pick you need a Bont more than a Rankine. You generally lock in your top tier mids and KPF before you start thinking about a small forward.

I don't have doubts re Curtin making it as a mid.

Pretty much the first time he plays mid at a high level is at the Championships and he fills the stat sheet with contested ball, clearances and tackles.

He passes the eye test too, he's got really long arms to keep the ball free from tacklers, reacts very quickly when the ball spills out, and is super clean picking it up. He gets from contest to contest very well.
He has great composure, a lovely side step and looks a great decision maker. He's also very good at hitting leading targets on that sweet left foot.

And he's tall enough to be a KPD if he's good enough.

Lever, May, Weitering, Cox, Aliir, Balta, Tom McCartin all around his height.

I'm like forward to the *ery during the week like the Hawthorn leadup where one side gets covid and then the other gastro then injuries on the captains run, then injuries in the pregame warmup.
Allen - "I wont be able to play today coach. I got bad stomach cramps and diarroeah"
Simmo - "Damn it, sounds like food poisoning, what did you have for dinner last night"
Allen - "A bottle of laxatives"

the nightmare scenario is if we come second last and the afl play funny buggers and give norf a rd 1 PP and band 1 compo for mckay.

would be like the last time we won the spoon and got pick 4.
Yeah there’s a lot more at stake coming 17th than just whether we want Harley or not. We could lose all 3 of Harley, Curtin and McKercher in a worst case scenario (probably not likely to get both a PP and compo for McKay but stranger things have happened). At worst it looks like they’ll have 2 top 5 picks are coming their way, which would obviously be 1+2 if we overtake them.

The other thing to consider is the advantage that comes with having pick 19 because that could unlock some doors for us to stock up on a bunch of early seconds and get a good group of guys in at once.

A lot more than just the Harley Reid cup at stake. The entire draft could be blown just by moving up one spot.

Melbourne must be lauging with the state of Freo.
Turning into a horror for Freo. Could have Ed Allan and potentially Curtin on there list and a heap of cash to chase a Naughton or English as a FA. Feel so sorry for them

Not the club your working for trying to get into your head knowing you're a WC supporter? Let the games begin.
Nah, WCE_phil uses this board to talk down certain players, knowing oppo club recruiters read here as well. Did it all last year with a certain player his club drafted.
