I've had enough of all of these kents already.

Nothing would satisfy me more right now than drafting H.Reid and watch him kick a bag against the tin-rattlers.


And anyone else wanting to entertain splitting the pick in this massively compromised draft needs to give themselves an uppercut as well.

The thing I don't like in that is Grand Finalists then have the opportunity to trade up in that round that the worse team won't.

I.e. if Sydney have a F/S who is going to go im top 3 picks then they will do a deal with one of the GF teams resulting in that top 2 team getting access to a top tier player. Yes it would cost them more points -but they'd probably be happy to do so.

Just turf the 20% discount.for starters.

To take it further - maybe make it a 20% cost to the F/s club if they are a top 30? pick for the privilege to have sole access.

Maybe a sliding scale based on ladder position (after finals obviously)

Round 1, added % loading based on ladder position (20% for 1st, 2% for last). Round 2, no loading, round 3 % discount (20% for last, 2% for first).

For F/S and Academy. Also ideally open up 1st round academy access for clubs who miss the finals. And maybe heavier restrictions on northern academies (I.e only 1 player in the first round if they make finals, 2 if they don’t)

We’ll beat them comfortably with our ins and only need one more which isn’t inconceivable if all our blokes get a good block of games in. We nearly beat Freo earlier in the year and I could see if happening again now their season is cooked.

Will be happy not to win a spoon but it’ll be a bit of a buzzkill given our season was over in round 3 and this was the only consolation
