Woke up feeling like we just experienced the dawn of the new Carlton.

We now have internal belief and not just the external belief from all of us die hard hopefuls.

We will have some off days but what we have now shown over the past 6 weeks cannot be denied.

Very very proud of our mob this morning and my 8 year old chuckled the whole time as he watched the highlights. He knew dad was jumping out my skin to show him.

Well done baggers and fans. A long way to go but the right track has been found.

Please don't judge me...but I listened to the Channel 7 commentary last night.

I put up with the constant urgings of BT and James Brayshaw for Collingwood to come from behind and play their 'flyball'.

But, had to turn it down with 3 minutes to go and the game safely in Carlton's keeping. From Brayshaw:

Inaccuracy has cost the Pies a win tonight.
Surely the game against Port has taken its toll on Collingwood. 6 day break. Played in the rain. Bruising affair.

FFS James. Carlton were playing without 4 of their starting 18 and lost their best player just after half time. Pretty sure the narrative would have been all about the bravest of brave victories if the roles were reversed.

I've had enough Bourbon, a little chilled peach schapps will be a nice night cap.

What a night. Loved seeing my 16 y/o boy get so excited.

Watch the replay or the cricket?......... Decisions, decisions.

LOVE YA BLUE BOYS!
I had a couple of these as my nightcap.

1 Vote: The Baggers faithful at the ground who were in full voice. Well done Army!

2 Votes: The stick it up em spirit of all 23. Just felt in your face all night. Lots of jumper grabbing...

3 Votes: The Voss composure. Every time the camera panned to him, he was calm, like it should be happening.

4 Votes: Defensive scheme all over the ground. We just kept rotating and rolling to the next contest. Team discipline.

5 Votes: The heat was on! Pressure to match the defensive scheme. We turned up at each contest and hit them. Again and again and again. Each man took his turn and went!

We forced them to make adjustments, Howe forward, three different opponents to Curnow, something no other side has done to Collingwood this year.

Tip your hat to the coaches and the system.

Feels like...it's real!

Ollie Hollands with 6 contested possessions, 3 clearances and inside 50 entries is a really pleasing and encouraging stat line.

He is going to be a real Raging Bull once he puts on weight and gets past the 50 games mark (give or take)
I wasnt as excited about his game as others, I thought he made some poor decisions (acknowledge his lack of experience obviously).

BUT. He clearly has the right mindset for this level to go with the running power. Seemed to relish the occasion. Agree, could turn into something special.

It is amazing how a team who looked so slow and stagnant, and wouldn’t tackle, now looks fast and fluid, and tackling everything. A team who literally couldn’t hit the side of a barn by foot, now pin pointing passing up the ground. It is hard to believe it is the same team.

must have been some meeting the players had. They’re now hard wired into a “work as a team” theme.

No Bobby Hill?
Is he part of full strength? He does help them I think, but not comparable to no Walsh and half a Cerra.
Still can't believe we won like that, with a few key players out...just an incredible effort and win.
Glorious!
They have like 2 players on their injury list, who are both no-names.
They had Ginnivan and Ash Johnson available for selection. Not entertaining any thoughts that Hill made them less than their best.

The meeting went word for word like this...

Cripps - "Who wants to flog the living crappola out of every team we play this year from here on"?

Team - "Hells Yeah"

Cripps - "ok then, who wants nachos, I'm hungry"

Team - "Oh hells yeah"

Owies - "I'll fight anybody"

Reckon that was Jackie Martin’s best 4 qtr game I’ve ever seen him play. Not just as a bagger Ollie Hollands we knew he was good but f me dead was at another level last night Cotts was great in his run with roll was the first time I can remember where Sidebottom hasn’t chopped us up on his wing. The pressure last night by our boys was brilliant and forced Collingwood turnovers everywhere. We got in their heads with the pressure and buried them in our forward line. They got f all run off halfback and bar once or twice couldn’t get their full ground handball chain going. Well done Baggers.

Ventured into the filth board (carefully)….

As expected very cocky before match….

Last time Carlton went downhill skiing an against WC they followed up with a 7 game losing streak. Fully expecting history to repeat, and it starts with us.

Pies by 50.

And back to reality after the match…..,

Massive wake-up call.

Career worst games from Moore, Mihochek, Adams and Cox.

After tonight, we are further away from knowing our best 23 and ideal one/two ruck structure.

With Hawks, Cats, Lions and Bombers to come, we are no certainties for top two now.
