What I love about Cotters is whilst he did his job today is most likely to be dropped once we get reinforcements back from injury in the next game and during the finals, and he will be fine with it/not cause a fuss because he a true trencherman, a side before self type of glue bloke !

Fair comment, windows. You’d have him ahead of Sticks, Diesel, Judd, and SOS? I love Charlie, but I think I’d have a hard time putting him ahead of Diesel and SOS.

I’m not long back from the game. The absolute highlight was watching my three Brisbane born and bred kids get right into barracking for the Blues. For years they’ve questioned why I bother with Carlton. And don’t get me wrong, they probably won’t turn from the Lions. But after all the heartbreak, it was great to see them backing us.
In the end, I think the Melbourne game took a fair bit out of us. No surprises really. It was the game of the year. I just think we struggled to butter up from it.
Otherwise, I was mentally back on the road to Brisbane at 40 points down. Well done to the team for turning it around, in front of what was essentially a home crowd. Go Blues!

Last year we lose the last two games of the season, both by the smallest of margins. The bounce of the ball goes against us and bounces over Motlop’s head, Langdon gets the ball and kicks to the square, Pickett goals, we lose.
Ginniven’s block on Saad doesn’t get paid, Elliot kicks the goal, we lose, we miss finals.
This year, we win two of the last three games of the season, both by the smallest of margins.
Marchbank touch goes goes our way, we win.
Anderson’s kick goes slightly off line, we win.
In some ways, the pain of last year is something we had to have. If we are to go all the way this year, it will have played a major part…. Every cloud has a silver lining

Got found out a few times defensively today - something to work on.

Its always a mix of very good, good and some not so good.
He is still learning and finding his feet as an important defender.
All signs point to him being a very good player for us.
I can also see him playing up front in the future. His marking is spectacular. Good kick also.
