Only knock i'd say with McKercher is that you've got to ask whether his game can translate against men and bigger bodies.

More so the contested part, rather than his outside stuff. I wouldn't think he's going to be able to slip so many tackles, and scoot around stoppages as easily with his 181cm/76kg frame. I guess if Butters can do it at pretty much the same height and weight....?

Curtin at least is putting together a fair chunk of work in the WAFL senios, where he looks pretty classy and not the least bit out of place.
Reid is now McKercher 🤦‍♂️

One meaningless win has us going from chris judd to chris masten

With the way WCE use their wingman, it'd be a bit of a waste for mine.

1 gimp non accumulating position, which we're currently hiding our first rounder Chesser in, having previously hid our OTHER first rounder Brander in. The other wing is a mixture of Gaff/Ledwards/Clark, who don't push forward and hit the scoreboard at all and aren't damaging by foot either.

Let's just say i never really sit down and watch an Eagles game and think of how much of an impact our wingman have had on the contest.

It's why Curtin is a head scratcher. Could just leave him in defense i guess, let him play a semi accountable third tall defender role and run off his player a bit to provide an option and open the game up with his foot skills. Particularly now Hurn is gone. Kind of the role Yeo is currently doing when he's not mid.

But then where does that leave Bazzo? In the WAFL behind McGovern and Barrasss and not getting a game at all?
How we use our wingmen now might not be how we use our wingmen in the next couple of years though

You're not wrong, but Simpsons defensive winger gimp roll has been going on for a good 6 years now. Not sure if that changes.

Nobody even knows what our game plan even is

McKercher was very good in the academy games playing sanfl and vfl teams. It didn't hamper him really

So you've now shot down Curtin and MCKercher with reasonable points , the question is who do you like at Pick 2 ?

HARLEY REID!! 🏍️

Reid turns back into traffic like Masten and gets away with it (for now). McKercher exits congestion like Judd.

Okay picture this:

The JHF debacle has made North wary of shackling a player with the tag of number 1 pick. They could have avoided it by bidding on Daicos but wanted the marketability of having a player that was number 1. Boy did that backfire.

So this time, to spare Reid that pressure, they bid on Walter first.

Then Gold Coast elect not to match.

Then we take Reid with pick 2.

On what planet would Fold Coast not match?

Buckleys chance they let an Academy player walk out, let alone a top 3 talented one, they'll match straight up.

Just … just shut up, won’t you?

i Predict WCE will at the end of the year offer oscar Allen a few extra years to his contract & a bigger pay packet. All this Bu**sh*t that west coast are feeding us. He has a contract he's not going anywhere.
Its all a ploy by WCE to say we had to offer him a bigger contract because he was being offered big sums by eastern states clubs really.
Come on west coast its exactly what happened at the mid season draft you say we only had 1 player on a long term injury b*LLsh*t again we all know that we had at least 2 players not going to play again this year.

That would be hilarious. won't happen... but we can hope.

Do you know how contracts work?

HAHAHAHAHAHAH are you guys happy? wowhoooe we won a dead rubber match which sets us back even more, wooooooooo.

Well done on being the worst team in AFL history with countless 100+ losses and to show for this we miss out on not only pick 1 but pick 2 also.

Is everyone happy now? woooohooo, go Oscar having a great game when he does not need to play and should be on ice.

Norf have been tanking, resting LDU + Wardlaw etc etc... we fricken have no idea.

Nope. Wardlaw has hamstrings made of cement and LDU is as injury prone as Yeo.

Go watch McKercher or Sanders highlights and imagine Reid walking off-camera.
