Jon Ralph is just getting worse.

DEV Robertson’s strong form in the back half of the season has him more likely to remain with the Lions on a new deal.

Brisbane mid-forward Robertson has interest from West Coast in a year in which he went viral after his scrap with Pies rivals saw him running around shirtless for several minutes.

Robertson is seen as extremely loyal to the Lions and enjoys Brisbane so while he is undecided he is favouring signing a new one or two-year deal.

Brisbane has an array of young midfield talent only set to improve next year when Will Ashcroft’s brother Levi joins the club as a father-son.

But it would be hard to leave perennial contenders Brisbane for the hapless Eagles.
He couldn’t help himself, could he 🤣

Clearly still annoyed that the club didn’t do what he’d been reporting for months and sack Simmo

Yep

No mention of Dylan Stephens going to hapless North though.

"Sydney had an offer on the table for most of the season for the departing Dylan Stephens, who was a No. 5 draft pick but has played only 43 games in four years at the Swans".

For 56 weeks the local ABC Sports Talk program has been asking Gil McLachlan to appear on their show and yet he hasn’t.

Is that the disdain with which the head honchos at the AFL treat WA football? What is he worried about being asked?

Gil is more than happy though to get his mug on VFL360 with sycophants like Whateley and Slobbo.

A wise man avoids the ABC

Wonder if there’ll be any media comments on GWS playing tonight and next Fri (with two lots of travel) while Carl plays last night and next Sat with one lot of travel.

I'm sure the peanut on Fox said last night the AFL had considered swapping the games if GWS got up. Wild that they've straight up gone against that.

Collingwood want the extra day break going into the GF and what Collingwood want they get

Brisbane v Carlton on Friday night and Collingwood v GWS on the Saturday is a far more equitable schedule than the other way

Exhibit 2065456 in the case that the AFL gives no regard to the impact of travel

That gives GWS a better chance, and Carlton a worse one. What's not to like?

First should get the longer break for the GF. The issue was this week's fixtures shouldve been flipped but the AFL wanted the all Melbourne game on Friday night

There’s only one logical way the fixture should go and they’ve gone with the other option.

Collingwood finished top so I guess it’s not as big of an issue given it’s their “home” game this time around, but seeing as it’s supposed to be a “neutral” venue it makes sense for Brisbane to play earliest given they’ll be travelling, and that’s before
you get to the other two sides.

I can’t see any pros for having it this way around other than to benefit Carlton and Collingwood.

The Saturday match between Brisbane and Carlton is scheduled as a twilight game, so Carlton can get back to Melbourne that night if they win.

Same treatment wasn't given to GWS tonight of course, who now face a 6 day break on top of travelling for the third week in succession.

The league takes travel into consideration, it just depends which state you are from.

TBF that has been league policy for as long as I can remember.

PF teams should be able to get home post game by Sat night (a week prior to the GF) at the latest.

Doesn’t absolve them around the farce of the fixture in the last 2 weeks, but they are pretty steadfast on that PF week fixturing requirement.
