Depends on the membership structure, but as long as those that paid for a guaranteed ticket got it, and then for those that are in some sort of 2nd tier 'maybe' category well if they miss out then tough luck.

What I hate about these GF's of an interstate team against Bris is the fact that Collingwood fans all through the town will be finding ways to get their hands on tickets, and will end up making it a very heavily pro-Collingwood crowd. Us interstate clubs just can't do that. Most people wouldn't have all the local contacts, and risking the drive in the hope of pinching one from a scalper is something only a few would do.

In some cases some Collingwood members were never going to get a Grand Final ticket. Those who paid a premium membership knew there was going to be a ballot if the GF ticket demand was over subscribed. With 95,000+ members this was always going to be the case. In fairness there was some computer glitch with Ticketek which delayed the ballot results but that didn't alter the inevitable. I think some Collingwood fans paid an extra premium in the mistaken belief that guaranteed them a Grand Final ticket. These people should get a refund from Collingwood or Ticketek.

As long as Collingwood have been clear on that then it shouldn't be an issue.

But as far as I'm aware, I'm 100% guaranteed a ticket when Port make it, and if they change the platinum category, so that I don't automatically get one, I'd want to know why. The top category should guarantee you a ticket and below that should be tiers of other chances and ballots, and a waiting list for the prime platinum category

Best atmosphere in a full house setting. AO is a nice boutique stadium but MCG/Yarra/CBD combo is hard to top, especially in September.
