Brisbane making the Grand Final is bad for us. Why?

“If Chris Fagan can get Brisbane to the Grand Final after several failed attempts in finals then so can Kenny!”
Yeah but Fagan doesn't think finals are scary.

NINE carrying a story that Collingwood supporters are 'up in arms' about ticket allocations for the Grand Final. They are bawling their eyes out because their reserved season ticket does not guarantee a seat at the GF.

Tickets were balloted out by Collingwood as per AFL rules, that suggests that not everyone who paid the premium was ever going to be satisfied. One assumes that those people who paid for a ticket but were unsuccessful in the ballot will get a refund.

It literally doesn't matter, they've proven again and again that this administration will just do what they want anyway, then manipulate the media to tell us why they're right and we're wrong.

Brisbane win and it'll be sticking the course with the current coach clearly works, we beat this mob in Round 1, also Brisbane beat Collingwood back in 2003, you know what I'm saying, back in Kenny. Collingwood win and it'll be see how important it is to be financially stable, we can't afford another 2012, Nick Daicos is a star and you build a team around young stars and we have young stars too, we nearly beat this team a few months ago, also Collingwood wear Black and White, you know what I'm saying, back in Kenny.

Results are just white noise

Brisbane have actually won their last six games against the Pies.

Including both games this year. Brisbane have the game to beat Collingwood. Since they played us Collingwood have won 4 lost 3 and 3 of those wins have been by 8pts or less. Brisbane have won 6 from their last 7 games. The momentum is not all with Collingwood.

McStay out could be telling, he was pretty influential before injury in the prelim. Structural out as well.

Maybe big bustling Bill F will get a run (which will be endlessly humorous, adding to the pile of talls Hinkley trades out with impunity).

Come on tribes, it's not the SANFL anymore, you have to be a big club like, um, Brisbane, to play in one of these.
When Hardwick masterminds a win over Port next year, I can imagine Ken saying, "We've got a long way to go, to be as good as a team like Gold Coast."

So in summary

I want Collingwood to lose because its always funny to see Collingwood lose GFs, especially when they would go 0-3 against Brisbane.

I want Brisbane to lose because I don't want to see Fagan used as an excuse for "staying the path" in endless media thought pieces, ignoring the fact that he is in his 7th season which is the usual last chance magic number used by clubs, not his 12th like Ken.

I want Collingwood to win because Billy Frampton with a premiership medal would be the greatest thing ever.

I want Brisbane to win because Charlie Cameron with a premiership medal would be not bad either.

So to sum up I don't actually give a ****

Depends on the membership structure, but as long as those that paid for a guaranteed ticket got it, and then for those that are in some sort of 2nd tier 'maybe' category well if they miss out then tough luck.

What I hate about these GF's of an interstate team against Bris is the fact that Collingwood fans all through the town will be finding ways to get their hands on tickets, and will end up making it a very heavily pro-Collingwood crowd. Us interstate clubs just can't do that. Most people wouldn't have all the local contacts, and risking the drive in the hope of pinching one from a scalper is something only a few would do.
