No WA side should play in Tas. Or at least not until Coll or Rich or Ess have to play in Geraldton or Albany. Similar travel.
Perth to Melb then Melb to Tas means maybe nine hours home to hotel. Coll et al would never be asked to do that.
There are ways the AFL can minimise the unique travel that the two WA teams face.
I’ll repeat it for the umpteenth time - Pavlich and Kade Simpson played about the same number of games (340-350) but Pav travelled more than seven times further. But apparently it’s not considered a disadvantage.

Yes a chartered direct flight. it's less than four hours normally, closer than Brissy and Syd.

Don't underestimate the cats not bouncing up and in fact sliding further (IMO)...if so, in that last round they'll be tanking for draft position. Same for north in round 21.

West Coast had a highly competitive training session on Monday and Elliot Yeo was an early casualty despite not even being required to be there.

The Eagles were doing competitive tackling work nearly 90 minutes into the session at Mineral Resources Park when Yeo went to ground. He attempted to stay involved and laid a high tackle on Jack Petruccelle before walking from the field to speak to medical staff.
