AFL Player #13: Nik Cox - Subbed out vs GCS

I hope we kill off the wing experiment once and for all, just looks immediately so much more at home when he goes behind the footy. Not the first time he has started the game on a wing, a key defender has gone off and he’s slid back there seamlessly.

He had a couple of very important touches including the back with the flight no look spoil which halted the Hawks in an important time and saved a certain goal.

Didn’t mind his game. Looks like he has simplified things. Was a contest I seen that he fully committed himself on the goal line which he come about on top. It gives him a good baseline to work on.

He’s was actually very good other than that weak effort in the contest with gunston.
Weak? He was out of position and off balance, and an experienced player took advantage of that.

It's hilarious really, I was at the ground and it was obviously what happened, but then watched the replay and just because the commentators said "weak" apparently now that's just accepted wisdom. Lol

I saw Hawkins get out pointed by some smaller no name Saints player last night. WEAK!

I’m driving the cox bandwagon, I’m his biggest fan and yes I thought it was a weak effort. Needed to be stronger in the contest, 2 steps and back your body into gunston. Other than that I thought he played very well in the backline

Bit dumb, dare i say weak, from the Hawks player. Only had to make contact and would've drawn the free.

It's a bit of a stupid rule IMO, because if you watch a player's eyes 99 times out of 100 you know where the ball
We all know the old saying about having a plan up until you get hit…

So maybe you’re right … 99% of the time.

But this time you have big Cox bum rushing you like a drunken giraffe. Boom.
