I actually feel sorry for Nicks. Even his better players are deeply-flawed (the Rankine-Parish footage; the Rachele squibs).

He’s not exactly Carlo Ancelotti and I certainly wouldn’t replace Ken with him, but Clarko and Dimma (as we saw this week) wouldn’t be able to get much out of that squad.
I'd replace ken with an ape. 100% I would take nicks if that was the only piece of pie we could get other then Kenneth

And we’re still relentlessly treated to journos who wheel out the “DID YOU KNOW HE HAS A HIGHER CAREER WIN% THAN CLARKO, DIMMA & CHOCO?!!!!”

Do your f#%king jobs.
If anything this highlights the fact he had very little to do with the upswing in 2013 and 2014. Did not need to coach through the bottoming out period of a club.

Absolutely smooched on the sausage.

A simple question in an after match pressser like why do you continue to fall short and not make ground on the top sides season after season would be like a eureka moment.

Why are our media so afraid to upset overpaid middle age twats after a game? make a name for yourself, separate yourself from the beige brigade, you are not having them around for dinner so grow some balls.
That Access all areas was telling in the Coll v Port roundup. The bit they showed of Ken in his presser was the part he sounded most coherent. Then Damo rounds off the segment by saying the reality is he’s in his 12th season as coach and hasn’t made a GF and qualifies it by saying “I know that sounds brutal” ….
They really don’t like upsetting Ken

Brutal? Whats brutal is members and supporters having to up with this shit for over a decade. It's ****ing frustrating. Any other club would have sacked this bumpkin years ago.

You know what Tribey, if I had to choose between the two, I would probably take Nicks.

• Collingwood (2-3, 13th) versus Port (4-1, 3rd)

From a commanding position meekly bending over and copping numerous curdled loads for an hour without resistance = “C-”

• Adelaide (1-4, 14th) versus Essendon (3-2, 9th)

Getting jobbed by a last-second decision the AFL admitted they got wrong = “D+”

lol

Those stats tell the tale and confirm what most here have been saying ad nauseam. To win a Premiership you need to win three finals minimum, and likely that will include beating a couple of top four teams in September.

Even when we qualify for finals, are we realistically a serious chance to win a Premiership based on that statistical evidence? A below 50% record against top eight teams and results that are even worse against top four sides? Of course not. Even when we finish top four, you cannot possibly have any confidence of seriously challenging based on those numbers.

I still keep getting told about the overall win/loss record under Ken. That's great, unfortunately when we get to finals we don't get to play North Melbourne three times.

The cult will tell us Port have simply been unlucky or umpires or injuries or whatever the excuse is "Ken can't do it for them" At what point is there enough evidence for these people and sadly those within the club to see that we have a serious problem? When you have only won two finals in nine years and lost your last three finals by an average of eight goals, I am sorry there is more to it than just a bit of bad luck.

Google Deep Mind and Liverpool Fc have come up with the solution:

We must be the club most likely to lose games we are favourites for and least likely to win games we are underdogs.

Most shit truck teams would manage to snag a win or two against good teams despite them being not in finals contention.

Remember when we boycotted FiveAA? Decent indication your club is thin skinned when you put any stock in what Steven Rowe says. We should have brushed it off like a fly on the back of an Elephant. Maybe because if somebody asks a "difficult question" we'll take our ball and go home?

They're not Woodward and Bernstein. Hard questions mean you won't get players offered for interview next time to have to write a puff piece about a player visiting a sick kid or how some draftee puts his good form down to hard work and mums cooking.
