Yes the umpiring was bad. Focus on that if it makes you feel better.

But they were 4 players down and they missed so many easy shots on goal. Should have been a thrashing.

We're f*cking terrible. Just an awful side to watch.

Is it talent? Is it coaching?

It's both.

We are embarrassing.
Even giving us a few more calls and taking some of these away we would have won

I'm surprised we even have members. You have clubs like Geelong, Sydney, Collingwood and a few others that seem to be able to always be up there, or around about. We have been putrid bar a few sprinkled years. We have a few good players but besides that we are trash.
We have spent the sixth longest on top of the ladder since 2000, or something crazy like that.

gee we’ve missed brad crouch this year

Does anyone on here actually think this list is good?
Easy to blame the list, but nobody thought it was that bad at the start of the year.

Coaching has to take some responsibility. Why is everybody so out of form?

Our structures look dreadful. Looks like a lot of basic mistakes happening around stoppages.

Fitness looks crap this year as well. I was shocked at the Essendon game on particular. We were dead on our feet by the 3rd qrt.

At present we look like a bottom 4 side, the list is not that awful.

We just aren’t a very good side at the moment. The lack of talent is becoming more obvious every week. Consistently poor skills coupled with poor decision making.

For some perspective though, the teams we have lost to are currently sitting 1st, 2nd, 5th, 7th and 9th. Probably about right.

It will be nice to come up against NM next week, although we’re definitely no certainty.

Flat track bullies who get an arm chair ride from the umpires at home.

We were only in the game because RTB played a game style that maximised our limited talent and curtailed theirs.

Our top end talent and midfield quality is abysmal - difficult to see a path forward when we finish mid table for drafting and are not attractive to free talent. The coaching staff can only squeeze the limited talent so far.

The great Alan Jeans - good players make good coaches!

Wilson was sensational at the end.

It was there for the taking and Horne-Francis stood up for them. Bloody disappointing but at least it wasn't the flogging we were expecting.

Needed more composure at the end. Our skills for most of the game were poor, but we never gave in.

Our forwards need to contest more. We allow too many marks in our 50.

Really feels like an opportunity lost.

The umpiring was diabolical.
We play a very negative style, flood or heavy zone when we defend, long bomb to big pack along the boundary to slow down scoring.

But ultimately, our midfield is the worst in AFL.. that’s the main reason

Having 9 players on the field with under 50 games experience is the reason we are seeing these results.

Correct. I’m not all doom and gloom, I was expecting a down year and at worst we collect a gun mid in the draft and keep building. Troops coming back next week should help

Nobody thought we’d have this many injuries, debutants and people returning from injury at this point either.

We are one of the fittest teams around. The industry knows this, yet you don’t.

We have one of the best modern coaches around. The industry knows this, yet you don’t.

The earth is round, the industry knows this - what say you?

Just trying to gauge what you are like with the last question.
