I was mostly being a smart arse about the crowd on Saturday night, since we are playing at lunch time :) but it'll probably be cold and wet whatever time it is.

If Ken Hinkley wasn't our coach it would be a clear and balmy 22.

North don’t want a second home. They just want enough to stay in the AFL. Those second markets can see this ‘give me your money and shut up’ attitude and unsurprisingly never embraced them. Even Melbourne with the NT did a better job appearing to give a shit.

The general one of the AFL just not letting North die remains. With Tassie coming in soon, clubs aren’t going to accept both them AND North simultaneously taking all the talent in the draft in a blatant fashion, so this is a workaround to try and hide it.

With Tassie soon, if the VFL let North die, as they should, that’s 9/9 Vic/Non-Vic and that’d risk decisions being made in the best interests of all clubs, not just Vic clubs. As always for the ‘AFL’, decisions are made for the benefit of the Vic club/MCC/Vic government triumvirate.

North have the best young list in the comp, they'll be lifting trophies soon, no need to give them any more leg ups.
Just like GWS and Gold Coast.

They won't go anywhere because their a cut-price club. Doesn't matter how good their kids are. They avoid financial losses by not spending money. Brett Ratten was a part time assistant last season when he took over during Clarko's break.

We brought in the draft to make sure we have an even competition.

Bwahaha, kidding.

Here's a bunch of academies, priority picks and ever-changing father-son rules.
