The core message coming out of that "win" is its the kind of ugly win that the team had to have while laying all the blame on Ross Lyon.

The irony is if Max King wasn't such a useless bastard, all the pressure would be on Ken, not Ross.

Bevo has to beat Port.

With the 2021 PTSD hanging all over Ken, it's clear that a firing Bulldogs team could destroy Port's stragglers and out to end the notion that Sunday was a triumph for Ken and his "boys".

This end of season stuff is absolute nonsense

What possible benefit is there in not sacking him now?

At least we get a look at the team under carr then have a proper recruitment in the off season.
Which is why we need a 2021 PF replay on Saturday - if it happens again, the blowtorch will be increased at least tenfold.

I've put $50 on us again, we can't have nice things.

I can see us winning in a very Hinkley style, 60k inside 50s to eek out a 2 goal win.

Media continue the pile on with us supporters and Tredrea, and fawn over Hinkleys "incredible resilience", Koch rides the momentum to come out and declare Kens job is safe.

The club doesn't have the guts to sack Hinkley whilst we are sitting in the 8.

Making finals is good enough has been the club's mantra in the Koch era.
This X Plenty, if the team stays in the 8 it will once again be seen by kok and his cronies as job done regardless of whether we get kicked off the park in the first final.

The standards this club once held itself to have disappeared under that clown, and I concur with Peninsula Boy when he said that David Koch is the worst thing to ever happen to the PAFC!

I have little doubt what we are seeing is an attempt by the Hinkley camp to weather this current storm to try to eke out a continuation into next year. We need to keep the pressure up.
Bingo.

Targeting Ross Lyon for Sunday's pathetic display of non-competitive football, making Ken's lack of success an emotional issue rather than an analytical or even a financial issue, supplying core messages of Ken and his boys etc.

If Ken loses this Saturday and there are boos, Gerard and Slobbo will be making comparisons to the Goodes saga.

That's how disingenuous the defence of Hinkley is. They'll use any situation (no matter how inappropriate the comparison) to protect Ken even when it's ridiculous: Goodes was arguing for something bigger than himself while Ken protects himself more than anyone else.

King oath. Most of our boys have only ever played under the one coach. They don’t know how good they could have it.
It'd wake several players up too - they're playing soft football, because that's how they're coached. A good old fashioned verbal spray is what some of them need - from someone who isn't interested in being their Daddy.

He did it a few years back. He won’t again.
When did he do that? I can't remember that as I sit in the eastern stand? Did he go to the southern stand near the cheer squad.

Getting sick of Ferret Head on SEN keep on having a dig at Tredders and us members for booing and leaving the Lions game early. How do we get rid of him out the club too?
Gotta love Jack's nickname for Rucci - makes me chuckle each time

No one jumped the fence and attacked Ken, he was simply jeered. A small price to pay for a 13 goal home loss in season 12 at the helm without any success while collecting millions of dollars I would have thought.

People pay their money and can leave when they like. They have no duty of care to stay if they are not enjoying the product on offer. If it makes some people feel like a superior supporter because they remained watching the debacle " We are true supporters and you have to support the team" And it makes them feel better then good luck to them. Their opinion on what I do with my time means less than zero.

For a lot of people they work pretty long hours and you don't get a lot of free time so it is important to use it wisely. Watching Brisbane pile on goal after goal without resistance was obviously not something many (myself included) wanted to spend the rest of the final term doing.

Correct. The media love fest from the select few towards Ken is sickening and it is just fueling the animosity even further

I’ve been reflecting a lot about my relationship with the PAFC the last few weeks. For so long I have ridden every high and low this club has been through. I’ve barely missed watching games. The fortunes of the club have meant a lot to me. I was blessed that my dad introduced me to PAFC in the early 80s. It was a wonderful way to spend my weekends going to games with him. I loved what our club stood for.

In recent years and especially this year, I’ve realised that the club is now in the hands of people who will never love it or hurt about it as much as I do. If they are happy to accept mediocrity and go with the flow and roll over so easily then I’m not going to waste energy worrying about the PAFC anymore. Rucci, Kornes and their friends in the club can bask in apathetic mediocrity.

I’ve got other things to do.

Jeez it gets worse, before the members would pay money and the club would listen and to a degree enact the members will.

Nowadays you pay money to be told how to support and what to do, and then every now and then get shat on by some player or media boffin for the pleasure of it all.

The absolute gaul and state of the club, media and wider AFL atm.
