What sort of wild are we talking? That is exactly my point JJ
The Hawks knew he was absolutely off the wall crazy and got him in and they won three flags
It has been known in footy circles for YEARS that he was wild
Sometimes you take a risk and take a bloke on for the betterment of on field
Again, not to be rude - but I am pretty sure that if we’d offered him a contract (that is dubious information at best) and Saad is one of his close friends then I’m going to trust the character assessment of our list management team and Saad over some people on BigFooty
Definitely. The one thing that stinks about the whole mess is that he went straight to the media to air his dirty laundry. Now he's staying there and having to turn up and face his teammates and pretend it's all good. Can't see that working for long.Drama queen….
Please tell?Post footy career you know what Lakes been up to??
But the MFC can rule over me as they see fit (and, as they should). Are other people seeing something in Petracca's statement that I'm missing?
Sentence 1: there's been chatter in the media
Sentence 2: yes, I've raised concerns
Sentence 3: this is how I've raised concerns
Sentence 4: I don't apologise for raising concerns
Sentence 5: I love footy
And then there's sentence 6: "As for my future at the Melbourne Football Club, I remain committed to playing for the red and the blue." Which could just mean: as of this moment I still have an active contract.
Says nothing IMO.
Let’s hope one is a reasonable one.Cats fans mentioned we offered Kolo 2 years on their board but will be signing with the cats after they upped their offer.
Good to know we've put the feelers out to a few KPDs
In all honesty Stringer would be perfect in our side anyone that thinks otherwise has no idea about our team
Collingwood got rid of him last year. what does that tell youThat's funny Richmond and Collingwood have won premierships with those kind of players
Exactly. Are other people seeing something in Petracca's statement that I'm missing?

I don’t care what the Trac says in a statement, all I see is that he wants the best team Carlton bad. You’ll see, in trade week he’ll say, “Sorry for the auto correct typo in my statement. When I said I want to play for the red and the blue, I actually meant I just want to play for the Blues.”.
Statement half correct. I meant blue only. LolI don’t care what the Trac says in a statement, all I see is that he wants the best team Carlton bad. To be fair to 'a journalist', theres been more than one, even Gerard Whateley was death riding MFC up until 1:00pm today saying that the Petracca situation had gone past the point of no return and now Melbourne just had to to deal with it.
I can see him at the Pies in 2026. Pendles,Sidebottom gone end of 2025.I don’t care what the Trac says in a statement, all I see is that he wants the best team Carlton bad. If Christian Petracca does in fact stay at Melbourne like he said he will, will the people saying that “there is more to play out” actually learn any lessons for a change?
I think it’s time to move on because Nick Austin and Co have, they probably weren’t even considering it. Contracted and wanted player etc.
I find it very interesting that not a single Demons player has liked or reposted his message. Are other people seeing something in Petracca's statement that I'm missing?

Not cryptic enough.Beautiful day on the sunny coast for a walk and coffee…
It’s amazing who you bump into while enjoying some sun and excellent dinners…
AFL want focus on finals not on Trac, poor cold water on it for the next 4 weeks please…
Brand Petracca tows the party line…
