Think we should be looking into Rosas Jr if Pickett falls through
We are according to my mate that has contact with Freo Board members via his work. Freo is chasing an under utilised pressure forward from another club which is why we made a play for Joe Richards. Rossas was kicking 2 goals a game before a bad hamstring injury Round 7 this year. He's both quick and skillful. He is also contracted so he'd require a trade. Possibly the Saints 4th rounder.

Hes from Darwin which for some strange reason falls under the suns academy.

He’d be a good get if kozzie isn’t an option. That unfortunately I think is becoming a real possibility. Sam Edmund said on crunch time Melbourne won’t trade him.

Sammy putting the kibosh on himself & trade radio this year. Shame

Not so much player related but Fremantle are heavily pursuing Adam Simpson for the position title General Manager of player development.
Is that a rebrand of Bob's "Vibe of the Thing" role? That would be a hard role for him to turn down you'd hope

Didn't Bob end up as a specialist skills coach and head of AFLW?

Was still a vibe role, but had measurables.

Wingard has retired.

Shame to see him go out that way, probably would have got a farewell game if the Hawks weren't pushing for the 8
He was a decent player. Injuries caught up with him, and ultimately stuffed him. Cruel game sometimes

Wingard trade is interesting, pick 15, 35 and a former pick 19 (Ryan Burton). Was he at a similar trade value to what Bolton is now?

How high is one of the Camporeale's expected to go in the draft? With the GC academy player and Battle our picks are already gonna be pushed out to 11 and 12 on draft night at a minimum.

At his best, he was a level above Bolton. (Talent wise at least)

I don't think he worked hard enough to be most out of himself, and his talent could only take him so far. He was already having issues at Port before he left along the lines of not working hard enough in the off season etc etc.

4 seasons where he kicked 38+ goals or more is impressive.

Battle unlikely to get F1 compo.

Ashcraft will go top 3.
GC academy player (Lombard) will be top 15.
Camporeale both look to be 30+, same with Welsh.

Have a read of Twomey's phantom form guide, to get a basic understanding.

Agree, Wingard at his best was above Bolton. As you said, he was on the way down during his last two seasons at Port but pick 15, 35 and a former pick 19 who was best 22 at the Hawks is a pretty big trade. Would be similar to us trading the Port pick (16-18) and Chapman?

There's other intangibles from that trade as well from memory. Port half pushed him out and he had fallen a fair bit since his first few seasons

Burton had never really fired, and Hawks were happy to trade multiple picks looking for top talents.

You are normally win with 3 15+ picks for a top 10 in the comp. They did a similar trade for Burgoyne and it worked really well. They just learnt, that if the player is not willing to work hard then changing teams won't help.

"The club is also throwing its support behind Kysaiah Pickett, who does not want to be traded but informed the club last week he felt homesick at times.

A source close to Pickett, who preferred to remain anonymous to speak freely, said that was reinforced post-season when he caught up with AFL footballers playing in Western Australia who encouraged him to think about joining them. However, a trade has never been seriously considered."

Nothing that hasn’t been said before, but despite everything else it doesn’t seem like Kozzy is pushing this at all.
