So training thread or Stringer is this that or the other thing but definitely not consistent thread.
Unsure.
Thought it was Petch thread there for a while then Stringer showed up.
Training today so hopefully this thread also get's " back on track "

Key's, Fires, up to you to rescue this thread.

Sandy Brock part of the training group today. Looks a decent enough size with a tidy left foot kick albeit it’s just in the warm up kick to kick

Aside from the players mentioned by mattyc75 I’ve not seen Ryan, Yeo or Chesser

Johnston and Bazzo are both doing fitness work away from the main group

Long was running by himself to start with but has since joined in the skill drills

Add Sheed and Brockman to the list of absentees

Just quietly, I don’t think it’s possible to be more impressed with Lucca Grego. Already a positive voice on the track supporting his teammates and attacking all the drills with purpose. Also snapped a goal on his left from about 30m out

Doing some drills in line groups now. Of note -

Maric and Barnett with the backs
Hunt and Duggan with the mids
love it, Maric is projecting as a steal, he has elite talent anywhere and could see him being an intercept king like Gov, Barnett showed heaps down back in the WAFL last 2 games, like it also!

Barnett looks like a big unit.fit as. If he just had the correct mindset he'd be a weapon

So far so good. Surgery went perfectly and was home by the next day. Surgeons noted that it [the gallbladder] came out in tact and visible inspection of the exterior appeared normal, which is a good sign. Incisions are healing quickly and am already getting frustrated that I'm not meant to be doing anything. Received the all-clear today that I can get back on the stationary bike now at least.

The wait on results from biopsy will still be another 2-3 weeks.
Ahh, i had the gallbladder out a couple yers ago. Was an interesting few weeks after the surgery where my guts was sorting itself out - stay close to a toilet!

If you liked bacon, cry a little cos you better not eat it again

Hunt and Duggan with the mids makes perfect sense.

Bo, Ginbey and Hough will be playing defense. Along with Cole and Baker.

Makes sense from a vacancy point of view but Hunt played his best footy off the back flank. Didn't produce as much on the wing last season, but he did also have some injury gremlins.

I'm not concerned about Duggan playing mid. Our clearance and ball movement style is going to be way less finesse, much more commit numbers and move the ball in a wave.

True about Hunt but i guess it comes down to how we use our wings under Mini compare to Simmo.

Be interesting to see where everyone lands in our best 22, when we get there...looking like a lot of choice at present. Depth, competition, pressure, very healthy...

Can say with a degree of confidence that I expect jumper numbers to be:

Baker-3
Graham-17
Allan-26
Champion-37
Davis-38

The above is confirmed.
Owies-16
Maric-23
Gross-27
Grego-31
Shanahan-35

His interview sounded a bit like Shuey with his straight talking attitude ..

Should we be worried that he sounds a little condescending and a bit like a high school PE teacher? Hope that’s just day 1.
I don’t remember much about any of my previous bosses, but I sure remember the teachers that inspired me to come along for the journey.

If Mini is a great teacher, then that’s probably the best attribute you could ask for. End of the day, that’s his job. To teach. And you don’t teach by just yelling/ having a mememememe attitude.
