I was thinking the Petrucelle selection was still a tick, given 100+ games from a pick 38 is still a pass.. but then I notice he's still only played the 88 games.

Now I'm not so sure. Probably just wasted a list spot for 8 years tbh. Can't see him playing a big part in our team moving forward, but who knows.

It's debatable he makes 100. Surprising, feels like he's been around forever, but I spose when you're constantly injured or in/out of the side it's a slow build.

Out of all the fringe players on our list, I think Petch is the most likely to find a new lease on his football life under McQualter

I won’t be at all surprised if he thrives under the new coach and possibly in a different role

Last year of his contract.... I don't seem him being retained. I'm surprised he wasn't thrown on the trade table just to see if there were any nibbles, given he's a Victorian. That said, who would want him? I had such high hopes, but he plays WAFL this years as far as I'm concerned.

We don't know if he was or wasn't. A player that is struggling to break into the 22 in a bottom 3 team with 1 year left on his contract, I doubt many clubs are lining up.

Current list managers inherited this contract so not much they can do, same with Sheed. Both are looking like first out the door next year unless something drastic changes.

hope you're right, maybe he will pull a Jake Stringer and have a great season in his contract year

I don't put the blame solely on him, he was stuck in a position for years that quite clearly wasn't suited to him, and Simmo seemed to have a habit of doing that with fringe players

Bet he hasn’t turned up at preseason like this at least

I'd take a fat Jake Stringer over Petch on our list tbh.

Thicc boi just kicked 42 goals this year.

If Stringer was on our list you’d be first in line to hang shit on him

Top 10 pick in his draft year so he has/had the talent but woefully inconsistent, poor work ethic , picks and chooses when to play, weak defensively and less than ideal character around the club

The list of people he doesn't whine about for the Eagles is shorter than his leg day.

He's had runs in the middle in the forward and backline. Couldn't achieve in those and sure Bailey had his struggles but still think he's got petch covered in the Ruck.

Bloke didn't have the ticker or skills to go with his awesome pace.

I think to be fair to him, he showed far more in his stints in the midfield than he did as a forward

If he was trained from the start as a winger/HB I feel like we might be in a different position here

I believe Petch was offered to go with Darling to NM but he wanted to stay and see out contract, if he stays the same he will be surpassed and be last contract.

I’m not even a petch hater but I’m kinda confident that we’ll have enough youf coming through that Petch will be pushed out of the side.

*in b4 i dazzler an injury crisis again

And yet, as I said, I'd still take him over Petrucelle

Stringer is a straight up match winner. Like many X factor players he's inconsistent AF, but he's gotten his team over the line in so many games it's not even funny. Bombers would be pretty happy with what he provided for them over the past 123 games with them.

Him chasing a multi deal rather than just staying for the triggered clause in his contract is why he's at the Giants, not because he's shit.

Essendon were so sick of his shit they couldn’t get him out the door quick enough and GWS were the only team in the queue to get him

And even then they were reluctant

I’m not arguing he isn’t a match winner because he is. Problem is he only does it every 4th week or so

Dunno, he's 31 in April and wanted a multi year deal. Essendon rightly baulked at it and as a mercenary he played hard ball, which is fair enough. Don't think there's anything untoward there?

Blokes a dickhead but i can't recall too many off field crazy shenanigans he's had recently, unless I've missed something?

Still kicked 42 goals and was pipped only by Langford's 1 extra major (43) or he'd be their clubs leading goal kicker again.

Throwaway pick in the 50's from GWS for that is chump change.
