Will second that mother. Was at the game as well and was a top hit out between the two teams. Birregurra had some talent there and a good mix of talls and smalls. Will be intrested to see how they go this year. Great game played in good sprits. Thanks to all the Birrrgurra boys for coming...
Someone must have chucked some serious cash on CL cause their odds have come into $3.25 over night! Also heard some one tried putting $1000 on CL at $5 but sportsbet wouldn't take the bet!!
CL are carrying some great form and with Obrian up forward now make them though to match up with their talls and quick smalls. Add to this their goal scoring power in the middle with Keam, Hill and Stasse all capable of bag a couple and there back line with Wemo on fire and Jimmy Raynor coming...
I think you boys just like talking about obrian. He is a great talent however if for some reason he is not playing rebels on the weekend he will slot straight into the 1st forward line. And as for beating Illabrook in round 2....mate i think your living in the past there. Illabrook are a great...
Mate i dont no how much you no about Rokewood but Timmy Clifton would be one of the better un17 kids getting around and have no doubt he would dominate even more in the stronger team. I've seen alot of kids play and his up there with the best of them. Definatly worthy of being in the top ten...
That would be Jase Hinkley, playing for the Ballarat swans, confirmed by the man himself. But yes he would have been a good pick up in this league:thumbsu:
Lidacott is a good player only played maybe 3 game for Rokewood last year, Macca is a massive loss, Stewart was good in a back pocket always done his job and was a good bloke to have round the club and pask might have been lucky to play 3 game in the twos last year and struggled to follow up his...
Whats news around clubs? Been pretty quiet on here of late?
Heard a whisper the other day that C/L could be losing a few of there better players to sebas? Stasse was amongst the names but the other 2 or 3 were top quality players as well! Also a whisper that Keam is gone to some Ballarat club...
Haha hardly getting emotional mate just stating the facts!!! Haha and i dont think it is to hard to work out who i am mate so I'd hardly say I'm hiding behind a name:thumbsu:
All very true, from someone who doesn't play at CL, you can hate them as much as you like but tough call bagging the club when they've got the record they have. Would have to say their one's also went along way to losing there "dirty" tag this year aswell. Good effort by Porter and Keam to...
Just wondering how long ago did Linton and Carngham combine? Where they successful with in there own rights or has it just been since they combined that they have had such success?
Navarre are a much better team than lexton and i would expect them to win by quite a bit!!! The wheels seem to have fallen of lexton mid way through the season, the firts time we played them the seemed to be a pretty impressive unit who looked as though they could almost be the premiership...
Yeah i no what your saying and good luck to you guys...nothing better than seeing a team have a bit of success after not having any for a few years!!! Would be quite happy to eat my words and see you guys get up!!! :thumbsu::thumbsu:
Dont mean to kill your confidence or anything guys but navarre are a much better side than lexton!!! Lexton are slow and lack any real gun players yet as has been said on previous threads navarre have a top notch spine and have some very handy players around it!! They have knocked off skipton...
Very doubtful that my 100% record will still be intact after this round! Some very important game, after today we'll have a fair idea where everyone is at.
Round 4
Navarre v Illabarook
CL v Rokewood
Lexton v Natte
Skipton v Ararat
I'll go $1000 on CL ($1.10) x Natte ($1.75) x Rokewood ($1.65) for a return of $3176. (I think thats right but correct me if I'm wrong)
And as a safe bet i'll go $1000 on Natte @ $1.75 for a return of $1750:thumbsu:
Well said Old School. It is an endless debate!! Unless you are playing AFL or VFL you may as well just play where you get the most enjoyment out of footy and where your mates are!:thumbsu:
And on another note this weeks round of footy should be a cracker. Will get a very good insite into...
Navarre v Ararat
Rokewood v Illabarook
Skipton v Lexton
Carngham v Natte
Navarre over Ararat by alot. Think Ararat will be better than last season but they were along way behind! Navarre shold come home with the bacon pretty easily in this one i would think.
Rokewood look to have...
Very true biff!!! Was just wondering whether you could spread some of that knowledge of yours to give us your thoughts of how the league and clubs are shapping up this year...teams to watch, arrivals, departures ect???
