I've seen enough. Even if no other club trades for pick 2, I'd use it on Tauru. Plug and play kind of player. May sound silly given the one-eyed supporter in me, but reminds me of Jarrad Waite. The way he takes off and floats through the air, not necessarily the highest leaper, but could mess...
What everyone is saying, is the problem the club has.
Jack Darling isn't going to offer much to North. He doesn't offer much to West Coast. But many of you have said that he is about all we can get right now. So what!? I'd rather us launch for a big fish or go heavy on keys in the draft, than...
Half Time Thoughts:
It's been obvious from the first bounce that the care factor from the North Melbourne players is at a horrendous low. The laziness as they traipse around the field would be laughable if it weren't so insulting. I feel like Krusty the Clown, having put his bet on the Generals...
Gosh when I saw that cheap 50 given against us, I was quickly reminded of Scott not getting one against the Pies.
As much as we chirp about Ford missing the shot late, and it was a bad miss, the game was already handed to them by that stage.
Waiting on all Archer related highlights for this game.
Also weird looking at the stats and only seeing 8 disposals, at the ground it felt like he was everywhere
Definitely benefited from playing in the midfield in the VFL. Was able to do as he pleased without a defender to beat. Shows great skill, a decent tank, just needs to get more involved in the contested phase, then boom he will be a superstar.
I've only really been watching River. There is some great qualities, but some interesting deficiencies.
Pro:
Great Skill, hasn't missed by hand or by foot (outside of one rushed kick inside 50)
Runs all day, really covers the ground. End to end player
Confident in front of goal
Con:
Size. I...
Requesting someone to compile a video of Archer having Ryan in his back pocket. Surely he lines up on Hill next week.
(EDIT) Wait, this would just be a full match replay
I dare say that Payne has known for the last 2 weeks that North were taking him. They haven't been too good in the past with keeping their stuff secret
Everyone is right in saying we need a good key fwd. However, you aren't getting one in this draft, so no point burning a pick on Scaife who is genuinely not much chop at the level he is currently playing at. Bring in Payne, he accumulates, applies pressure (which our fwds don't), and can kick...
There is a bloke I called last year who was playing in the sticks and has since made the move to the SANFL and is tearing it up. Luke McKay, he is a mid (cue the oh we don't need another mid complaints) but he is a very mature body, run all day player, tackles hard, and hits the scoreboard with...
Highlights:
Archer
Wardlaw
McKercher
Lowlights:
Larkey's ability to take a mark
Simpkins ability to hit a target
Corrs ability to give the opposition momentum
Goad isn't anything to worry about, he has a greater output than Edwards and we all forget how long it took Gawn to come on.
Maley however is ready to go now. Dude has brilliant hands and his field kicking is pretty good too. Even had to go into the ruck and competed pretty well against a bloke...
Interviewed Mick recently about the club he currently coaches. He has an incredible football mind, and understands how to get the best out of his players. It's no surprise his team hasn't lost a game in a year and half
We have almost no competitors. X, Sheez, Chom and PC are out there giving it there all trying to win. You actually see that they care.
Beyond that, none of them have that competitive edge.
I went today for the first time and so a bunch of genuine cats in North uniforms pretend to play...
It needs to be said that the match selection was really poor. You can't tell me that Greenwood doesn't walk into this side for CCJ or someone else in for Tucker (who looks really unfit despite having had a good preseason).
No salt on the defensive 50, they are getting caned due to some really...
Spun a yarn with these fellas yesterday. They are loaded with confidence and ready for tomorrow.
