I'm not a Grundy knocker by any stretch, he's been great for us overall, but jeez he looks slower than ever these days. Noticed him on quite a number of occasions looking more like a pack-horse compared to those around him. Just looks tired and slow.
Agreed. Have to say Goodes will clearly be missed and is irreplaceable. Our young stock coming through provide alot of positives for the future. Have a squiz at our list and there is plenty to be looking forward to: http://www.sydneyswans.com.au/football/players/senior-players
are the players under instruction to punch instead of mark. I can think of 4 or 5 occasions where Swans players punch, where a seemingly easy mark could have been taken.
The wake-up call we needed to have, is all. We will bounce back and I expect turn this loss around in a big way. Not unlike the loss against Richmond last year. No need to freak out just yet peeps.
Seems to me that we are making all the excuses for him in the world, though nice to read some balanced views on him here. Look, I like Sam Reid, I just hope we don't have another White on our hands. It's a catch 22. We've no-one to replace him, but we are now carrying him. Seeing him get pushed...
agreed. if you're gonna put him down back, he surely knows that he is not performing. Why can't he just go back to the two's and work his way back in. I don't buy the line that it would kill his confidence. I don't buy the logic that he is tall and we have noone to replace him. I dont care if...
I expect a big turn around against St Kilda, in terms of playing the game on Swans terms. We were never going to be able to go with Geelong for 4 quarters, playing at a frenetic pace. St Kilda is the perfect opportunity to address a few issues before they loom large, control the flow and get...
The fact that some are saying he is like he was in 2011, means that he has gone backwards. At least in 2011 he was having shots on goal. At the moment he is giving the team ZERO. The amount of times he appears to be just 'hanging around', half arsed chases and poor choices, needs to be addressed...
yep you can almost see Morton's brain ticking over, esp the first time, "I really should give it back to you I guess" but Goodsey says "no son, kick a bloody goal"

Love this!
check out Goodes giving directions to goal in both of these great GF Morton classics.
Makes me smile every time.

Nope sorry, we didn't, and we weren't.
Huh, we were down by 14 at 3/4 time.
Unfortunately it was false hope, the Tigers were always more hungry to win this game, and it...
