Universal Love Hawks win the 2024 McClelland Trophy!

Is it just me, or does that $1 million figure seem low. Feels like it hasn’t changed for about 20 years despite increases in salary cap, tv deal, etc. Certainly not complaining, great results for the club! Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

Rumour 2024 Hypothetical trade and FA Thread

Can’t remember seeing him as a dedicated ruck. My guess is that was a Hawks fwd 50 stoppage and big Meeky just happened to be resting in the cage! Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

Rumour 2024 Hypothetical trade and FA Thread

This paper is an absolute embarrassment. The Reid carry on this year and the Cousins obsession of the past is over the top. I swear we aren’t all like this in the west! [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

Rumour 2024 Hypothetical trade and FA Thread

I reckon we were the one to bid on him in his draft year from memory. Unsure if that was just making Swans pay up or that we were genuinely keen. Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Calsher Dear! Rising star nom!

This was a great effort. Just to get a hand on it to make sure it became a 50/50 ball shows great fight and will to compete. As good as Chols Royce has been at ground level this year I would love to see him do things like this more often.

Thanks for posting JB! That’s a brilliant insight into his mindset. You could see there was a change when he got the last spot in 2020 but really interesting to hear from his perspective. Huge fan. Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

Player Watch Welcome to Hawthorn, Tyler Brockman!

Brocky looks a very clever and versatile forward. Thrilled if he is around for next year. Hopefully that shoulder is right from Round 1 and he can make an impact [emoji123] Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

Review Season 2022 - Liked, Learnt, Hated?

Liked: Watching the youth get regular games. MacDonald, Ward, Newcombe will be serious players down the track. Serong and Butler show great promise too. Loved: Sam Mitchel's message. Across various platforms (podcasts, press conferences etc.) he comes across as a very thoughtful coach. Honesty...

Analysis Hawks 2022 Hypothetical trades (read the pinned post)

I watched a couple of his games this year. For a bloke who has done a few AFL pre seasons he looked absolutely spent in the third qtr. Could have been that he was playing full time in the ruck but not sure about him as an option for us. And we all know Port will want too much for him!

Review The 8 debutants of 2021

I love the work rate and contest that Kosi brings to the team. Just hates the opposition getting the ball, especially in the air. Really important for our forward structure and I think we saw that in the last few games with Lewis back as well. Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

List Management 2018: Make room for the super draft.

Do we even need a Minchington type after Dylan Moore's back end of the season? I'm Perth based so not completely sure how comparable the two are having not seen either live in action, but the highlights I've seen of Moore look promising. That and Hanrahan has shown flashes as well.

I love the twinkle Wrighty has in his eye when he says stuff like "At this stage we're done, we might look to improve our position in the draft". The cunning bugger has an ace up his sleeve for sure! On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app

Universal Love Thanks Sam Mitchell. A true Hawthorn and AFL legend.

I'm so glad he doesn't play for West Coast anymore. Coaching them I can handle. It it was excruciating at times this year! Always a Hawks man [emoji106] On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app

Autopsy Hawthorn v Geelong - Preseason hit and giggle, Feb 17, Tassie

Outside of the third qtr we looked pretty good. At the risk of flogging a dead horse, Hartung and Langford worry me – both are young players but often don't look up at the clearances before bombing away. If that's out of the guts,no problem, but from half back it's not ideal. Would love to see...
