you make a good point
being number 2 with only 1 team outside the heartlands makes pretty good reading in my opinion
we still are number 1 in 2 out of the 3 biggest markets by a fair margain..
no doubt the AFL will get their 1 billion, but me thinks the NRL can get at least 750mil this time
no doubt it will be on again next year and in 10-20-30-50-100 years time it will be spoken and debated about..
this is apart of aussie culture now..the ratings war between the afl and the nrl :D
as for Roy, he will do his bit to counteract the likes of caro :p
on behalf of all rugby league fans, we admit the AFL Grand Final is more popular than the NRL Grand Final..
The NRL gave it a good run, but yes fell short and it was a pretty even contest too with the teams involved being all melb in afl and all syd in the nrl..
Congrats to you guys and your...
lol I got the txt on thursday that tomorrow 6 players will be banned, it is the biggest load of crap, the investigation is still going and at present nothing has been found to be involving players....
well Dragons have hit their wall right on time, how many for fails do they have to have before they realize they need a proper halfback?
straight sets again for the Dragons, its the Panthers premiership now
this is how scared we are (rugby league public) about other codes taking our players
this was a nothing incident, but it blows up because we are all scared, Hayne could simply walk out on his nrl contract and jump ship to the aru or afl who both were after him last year..
sadly the game is at...
Bears and Reds are the next expansion areas..not shocks now Gallop has finally woken up and perhaps even been allowed to talk about the future of the game
CQ should be way down the list
PNG/Darwin and Adelaide should be next targets
the 4 corners episode which said it has facts to show other NRL clubs cheating..the NRL fines some clubs last week and the episode due last night was canned..hmmm
the bigger story is the swans game..less than 50k for collingwood and tv ratings of only 59k!!
13k not bad for rugby league in perth, they will get a team only a matter of how people running the game see how much we need to be more national
not sure on the SA market for RL, the Rams at first had some good crowds, perhaps playing at the Oval didnt help..
Id rather see a few years of 3-4 games per year at hindmarsh to see what support is there
